November 5th-15th

Hello Everyone...

We are going to be in Amsterdam in November from the 5th – 15th. It will be just a couple of days before the Cannabis Cup starts when we leave… Does anyone know how the selection/ supply will be around that time? Do you think it will make any difference in our general experience (good or bad) considering how close it is to the Cannabis Cup? Oh…also we were wondering if the 2007 crop would be ready by then, and do they pre-sample?

I think its good that we will be there before the cup....I think it will be to our advantage..Ive never been there at that time either..

My birthday is the 3rd and the week long trip is my gift to myself.

i've read somehwere (prolly on this board) that going before the cup is bad because everyone is saving thier best buds for the cup, on the other hand it prolly won't be too busy

You really can't go wrong any time of year. Not all shops participate but if you were planning on tasting the cup winner then you might miss out if supplies are reserved for the festivities.

I was there for the cup last year, but not a judge and still got a free Barney's t shirt and free vapo bags. You don't have to pay the money to be a judge as it really only helps you if you grow, just my opinion from everything I have read and seen. If you do grow, by all means check it out.

You won't get to sample the cup entries since they don't come out until the first day, at least that's what they did last year as I recall... but it didn't take away from my finding good weed. There's plenty to be had and whoever said not all the shops participate was quite correct, in fact MOST don't.

as mentioned above.. not all shops participate in the event.... and also the many that do participate are only putting aside 1 or 2 strains... they still have a whole menu to fill and keep people happy... they cant just stop selling good weed at all...cause not all of amsterdam gives a shit about the cannabis cup.. in fact im pretty sure most of the people who live in amsterdam dont really give a shit about the event... i know a few of the store owners or budtenders i spoke with didnt really think to much about the results or the event in general as they knew it didnt mean much anyway. I have never been during the actual cannabis cup, but i still have sampled many cup winners at one time or another... so its not like ur never gonna try some of the cup winners.. i do realize that you may not get to try some of the real exclusive strains... but big deal.. i would rather trade that and have a more relaxing and less crowded experience...some of the videos i have seen during the HT cup the shops are crowded to shit, the line ups are huge... just not my cup of tea.. i just dont see it being as personal.

dont stress it too much, ur gonna be in amsterdam!! my best advise is try some of the imorted hashes... hmmm hmmmm..

sorry for the lengthy post, just smokin a big sour diesel joint and i cant stop talking, aka writing.. hahaha
