Copied from VDF.........................

I hate being home

Ok ... here goes... forgot my notebook so this is from memory, I'm sure I've forgotten a few things though and because my lady doesn't smoke I was the only one smoking joints to myself so my shopping list may not be as grand as some others ;-)

Day 1:

Homegrown Fantasy: Snow White 10E/1.3g, Dutch Ice - 20E/1g

The weather was lovely, sun was shining...

We arrvived at the hotel (see Cornerhouse review in Places To Stay section) about 6PM, totally shattered... rolled a much needed joint and we both took a "nap" ... ended up sleeping for about 4 hours , then we just went downstairs to the hotel bar for a few drinks to end the evening. Had a few Amstel then decided to move onto Duval... with that came me being brave... decided to roll a pure joint (I always use tobacco at home), smoked about half of that then literally had to crawl from my seat to the bed where the room span for about 20 minutes before I drifted off  it's all good fun ....

The Snow White was lovely, very smooth and stoney... made for a great 1st smoke. Nice fluffy buds.

I think the Ice was ok, I was quite drunk and i just poured it ontop of my pure joint so was totally messed up and unable to comment if it was that or the pure grass I'm not used to smoking that panned my head right in ;-)

Day 2:

Central: Edelweiss 25E/4g

Homegrown Fantasy: Silver Haze 10E/1g, Amazing Haze 20E/1.6g, Parrasi 10E/1g, some free baggie the american lassie gave me, no idea what it is, forgot to ask, was too busy being polite and thanking her for the gift.

Woke up about 11 with an absolute belter of a hangover from the night before. Dragged my sorry ass from the bed for a quick shower then up and out for a full english breakfast although it's my honest opinion that anyone serving this on the menu should really go get a fry up in england first before advertising it. Salad!? with an english brekkie!? Bizzare!!!

From there, we wandered down to Central as we were meant to meet axeman in there, wandered in to buy something, it was busy so we didn't stop ... went over to Hill Street Blues in the red light as it's normally pretty quiet early on for a wee smoke and some juice. Went back over to Central to see if it was any quieter 'cause it was close to time we were due to meet axeman and his mate but it was still packed... so sent a quick text to say get us in HSB, it's quiet... axeman and his mate showed up, quick chat and then my girl was quite cold so we went off to get a jacket before heading off to Haarlem, we said back in 10 minutes as we walked off to the hotel, it was a bit of a stoner 10 minutes though as we both ended up getting changed as it was pretty cold. Went back down and no axeman ... wondered if he'd maybe popped out for something, so I had a milkshake and another joint, sent a text to see where he was but nothing... so we waited a while longer then headed off (what happened to ya axe???). We had planned to go to Haarlem ourselves but by the time we'd got stoned and wandered a bit we were both too tired so ended up going back to hotel for a nap. Got up, went down to HGF for some more goodies, went for a massive T-Bone steak which was suuuuuuuperb! Then back to HGF for a few smokes and then off to the hotel to bed.

The Edelwiess was ok, not the best... was cheap though and tasted ok.

The silver haze was lovely, but it just seemed like a poor man's Amazing Haze.

Amazing Haze - FANTASTIC, absolutely amazing looking bud, dripping with crystals and the smell ... omfg  it just about jumped out the bag, lemons, oranges... like a citrus fruit basket in a baggie!!! Tasted amazing, lovely high... my favourite smoke of the trip and I'm normally much more of an Indica man than a Sativa.

Parrisi - an ok bit of dark hash, vastly overpriced imo but it was the only dark hash on their list so rather than go trawling for the best, I just bought that. Tasted nice, that was about it ...

Free gift: Disgusting, I dunno wtf that was but it looked nice, smelled ok but tasted fuckin' awful ... I smoked a few puffs then put it in the bin.

Day 3:

Homegrown Fantasy: Amazing Haze 20E/1.6g

Grey Area: Grey Diesel 22E/2g, Nepalese Creme, 20E/2g

Another late start to the day, up and eating brekkie at about 1130... pretty much spent the day walking about, getting more of a feel for the city, I've pretty much sussed how to get about much more now (I forgot to print an ACD map so thought it would be fun to try and remember the directions from memory - it worked, I and the wife are both amazed, I can hardly remember my own name some days, priorities I guess...), we went away down Spui area for a wander by the canals... then wandered around Jordaan etc... armed with a pocket full of prerolls I made, we just cruised around, seeing what was what and where was where... managed to spend a whole afternoon doing that. Then out for some dinner and a few drinks and a few smokes before retiring early, we had to get up at 0700 to get ready to get to airport. Also made a wee trip to Homegrown Fantaseeds to pick up some seeds. The guy in there was a top bloke, very helpful ... I went with Caramella seeds on his recommendation. Here's hoping in a few months I should have some nice plants to harvest. We already have the hydro, and an excellent system for the airflow... so with a bit of luck ;-)

The stuff I got from Grey Area that day was v.nice... the Diesel made a nice daytime smoke and the nepal creme was nothing short of delicious!! :D

All in, I think I did reasonably well considering I had nobody to pass joints to and I'm not normally able to get kick ass weed where I am. Over a half ounce smoked in 3 days, all on my own... that's good going i reckon.

Yesterday was my birthday, and I got to spend it at schilpol waiting for my flight... I should have touched down on home soil at 1130 our time, ready for birthday drinks and we had the day all planned out, but that was not to be... didn't land 'til 2000 hours, raging, with a wasted birthday under my belt. 14.50E food voucher just didn't cut it quite frankly, that got me 2 pitchers of Heineken, when the Scot's flights get delayed, the Scot's get DRUNK... ended up spending a fortune. Ho hum.

That's me back at work now, nearly crying into my crisps as I write this because we had such a good time over there, shame about the ending right enough but that's life, eh?

Hope to be back in November for more of the same...

Cheers Catt!

One year closer to retirement! YEEEHAAAWWWW!!! ;-)

Was an absolutely shite birthday but I still got plastered and I had my lady with me so it wasn't a complete waste. I was much more annoyed at the fact that they didn't tell us the flight was delayed until we had checked in, gone through passport control etc, meaning we couldn't get back out. I would have gladly spent one more day smoking in the 'dam. Our flight got hit by the electrical storms we had on the 3rd day and when it landed the tech guys wouldn't let it off the ground, so they KNEW long before we checked in that the flight would be delayed. Shower of shite, the lot of them...

To make matters worse, we all got on the plane eventually and 6 people hadn't turned up for the delayed flight and had checked in their luggage... so the airline had to start ejecting their luggage from the hold. One suitcase could not be accounted for so everybody was hauled off the plane to go and point out their luggage, we told them that we had no luggage, only bags in the overhead storage but we still had to get off and parade around the runway like everyone else. By that point, I was set to kill, was muttering obscenities at an astounding rate... it takes alot to piss me off but the one thing that always sets me off is the inability to help my own situation!!! There was literally nothing I could do about it and that will always rile me beyond belief... :x

BUT, I had 3 fantastic days in the 'dam, found my way about alot more so now am much more confident when setting off on foot, found grey area on the 3rd day which I couldn't find on memory of the ACD map alone on the 2nd day so that was most pleasing also after hearing so much about their 'wares'. Also, it was a refreshing change of mind to find a Sativa a more enjoyable smoke than an Indica... happy d(h)aze ;-)

I found the easiest way to remember where the Grey Area is by remembering where the Puccini Bon Bon shop is across the street from there... :D

Nice report Neldo. It sounds as though you had a fun time. And it sounds as though you made some nice purchases,(I have added amazing haze to my shopping list)sorry you had no one to pass the joints to.I don't mind toking by myself, but having someone to share with seems to intensify my buzz. And best of luck with the caramella plants, you will enjoy them(take clones of the best of the lot)

I don't mind it myself normally either... I'll gladly sit all day and smoke myself, but I just felt as though half a J would have been enough at some points and didn't fancy walking around with a stinking half smoked J in my pocket

I dont think to many people would notice the stinky j as bad but some very nice aftershave..lol
