Zeitgeist. If you haven't seen it...watch it. Some parts will upset some people for this I'm sorry but I still urge you to watch it anyway. Watch it all and you'll see this isn't aimed at any one nation, but EVERYBODY.

By the way, take from it what you want...but before ya just denounce it as bullshit...research the facts. The ref to krishna is wrong, feel free to tell me what else is.

Yeah, since one caveman picked up a bone and cracked his mate on the head with it, we've been on a slippery slope ever since. 2 kids on the corner of the block, 2 countries.....we are what we are. But things have got a bit weird..er lately. Peace for no war is changin to peace for no profit...it's becoming very unclear who 'the enemy' these days, actually is. Ok, companies have always made money from war but they seem to be starting the wars now and I think 'freedom' is about to get mugged. Weirder still, stoners don't seem to have much to say on it.
If nothin else, I found the documentary a smoking delight to watch as it does it's best, and succeeds, to rip every type of emotion out of ya it can, sometimes the hard way. As inaccurate as some of it might be I don't think there's a single person can watch it and not have some sort of idea or belief challenged. If there is, they're fukt.

I enjoyed the movie and the price was right.
I don't believe in the conclusion of a one world government though. Too many groups fighting worldwide for this to happen.

I used to take acid that had that picture on them!.
Y'know what's sad?. The fact a topic like this can't be rationally discussed by a bunch of stoners when it clearly effects everybody. This has got nothing to do with the content, although I'll admit, it covers absolutely controversial subject matter. But more the typical 'backlash' response people think they'll get if they try and put their 2 cents in. 'Allo Arry pottur'

This has to do with the argument clinic.

Now, my view of the argument clinic was it was put there to keep a couple of nutjobs from ruining the site. Which ultimately, I think it did it's job very well because when the shit bucket was full....it got thrown overboard. I'd still like my post count deducted for the light entertainment I got in there!. Unfortunately though, during it's brief lifespan it created a lot of personal nuclear fallout that landed on deserving or undeserving (I'll leave that up to you to decide) regular members.....and now that it's gone. There's a weird 'at a funeral with people ya don't like' feel to things. Don't say anything incase you offend somebody and an argument breaks out....well, erm...tuff!. It's not an argument unless ya make it one and if ya can't separate your own personal life with the one you have online I think it raises the initial question....Should you be smoking weed in the first place?.
I've met a few stoners in my time...a number of them being you lot, and I can quite honestly say we ALL go a little deeper than 'What's increased the sales of mikmik's quality noor and can you still get it at Twee De Kamer...yes you can'. Peoples personal issues aside the fundamental rule of the site still exists....If you don't like something somebody says, ignore it. But if you dissagree with what they say, discuss it. If you don't like the person..well..say what you like but expect a response...and yep, that's an argument...in some cases, just a slap down.
Anyway, in regards to the Zeitgeist documentary...it's not me sayin it, it's HIM. But it is me challenging anybody that hasn't got their head in the clouds or buried in the sand to ignore it. Yeah we smoke, but since when has that stopped us talking rubbish about real issues....surely it's more of a qualification to do so!?!.

I'm a big fan of "alternative" history topics. I found the film fascinating, but it's up to the viewer to do their homework if they choose and separate the wheat from the chaff.
Here's a book I have re-read several times and find something new each time:

It's a fascinating perspective on the long grey line from the Egyptian Pharoahs, Freemasonry, and Christ. Take from it what you will:-)

Interesting stuff, though if it's true the church will never let anything like that out....and I'd say if it exists it's deffinately hidden under some churches 'holy' ground. The movie 'Stigmata' suggests the same sort of thing, about a 'missing' gospel that explains what Jesus really meant about religion.

I love this kind of subject. I used to discuss this subject for hours over a few smokes with some guys I used to live with in Dublin. Before you knew it the sun was coming up.
On relgion I belive it was said best in an episode of Red Dwarf...
"Archeologists near mount Sinai have discovered what is believed to be a missing page from the Bible. The page is currently being carbon dated in Bonn. If genuine it belongs at the beginning of the Bible and is believed to read "To my darling Candy. All characters portrayed within this book are fictitous and any resemblance to persons living or dead is purely coincidental.".
