[Old Indian Shop] Herbal Mix

Post by tLL »

Hi all, I'm new here, first post, &c., &c.

I've only started smoking recently (within the last month) but I still find that when smoking just weed from a joint:
  • One full joint is way too much THC for one sitting (I'm a lightweight)
I'm not able to handle the smoke without coughing and feeling like my throat is on fire
So on a trip to Amsterdam I called into the Old Indian Shop and picked up a bag of "Herbal Mix" for €5. The stuff is great (last weekend I picked up 2 more bags).
  • A bag lasts for about 10-12 Joints (using about equal amount of weed and mix)
By itself it has almost no taste / flavour and is very mild on the throat
It has a much steadier burn than weed (Its great in pipes because the weed will go out but the mix stays lit so the next time you take a pull you don't need to relight it)
Only downside is that there can be what look like bits of hay in it and rolling a joint with these can puncture the paper / skin (never good), so you have to pick them out.

Basically, I have no idea what's in it, it smells a bit like tea but its green in colour.

Do any of you use a mix when you're smoking (or used you)?
If so what do you use as a mix?

What is the full name of the herbal mix, as I have been looking for something like this for a while. Every one I have tried tastes horrible and ruins the flavour of the weed. Since giving up tobacco 3 weeks ago I have been smoking pure joints and I agree that they are a bit overpowering, especially through the day when you have things to do,
Cheers,
Steve

Adding tobacco to pot here is called adding "spin".

One particular mate of mine can't smoke his pot without it (he's a non-cigarette smoker). He gets cranky when the pot runs out for a day or two, and I reckon it's more about the nicotene withdrawl than the thc.

Personally I find spin makes me do just that, not to mention choke and wanna spew... I don't touch it, it's evil.

Its just called "Herbal Mix". They don't have it on their site but I'll grab a photo of the baggie tonight and post it up tomorrow (at work atm).

They'd probably post you out some if you asked.

I've also just e-mailed them asking what's in it, so I'll keep you posted if I get a reply.

When I'm in the dam, I try to find cheap and tasty weed to mix if needed. I don't like the tobacco so much.

I have some of the stuff you speak of; mine is called "three oak herbs" herbal Spliff mix. i bought it in a smart shop, just asked for tobacco substitute and this is what they gave me. No real taste, not at all harsh, does exactly what it says on the tin!

No reply back from them yet.

Here's a pretty poor quality image taken with my mobile phone. I don't have any other cameras with me and my phone doesn't shoot macro very well, but you get the idea.

I only ever smoked tobacco in my joints here in the dam, but I quit smoking that stuff almost 2 years ago. Just pure for me now :)
