Top Summer Smoke Spots

Post by Tall Guy »

Finally summer is here for a day or two! To celebrate I went for a hike up to Almscliffe Crag (here http://tinyurl.com/2wmprq ), a bloody big piece of rock overlooking most of North Yorkshire. It was well worth the climb, here's my view while I lay back and smoked a couple of spliffs of Arjan's Haze. Had the whole place to myself. Nice 8)

Let's see your top summer smoke spots...

Not my pics, but I can easily get to these places from where I am... grew up very close to Loch Lomond, there's more smoking spots than you can shake a shitty stick at

Also, not local exactly, a few hours drive away ... but last year we stayed with friends in Fort William, we went for breakfast and a pint half way up part of the Nevis range... had a beast of a breakfast, ordered a pint of lager and took a preroll outside to the seating bit... incredible. You need to get a chairlift (or Gondola as they call it) to get to this place, it's that high up...

I can't find a good pic but here's a view of the start of the Gondola, doesn't look like much but that's because it's right at the start (you can still see the loading bay at the bottom), I near on shat my pants when it really started to climb..

I'm gonna be true to pedantic form and correct you Robb, Yorkshire is in England and 'God's Country' is Scotland :-)

Guess it's something to do with dramatic mountainous regions, with peaks above cloud level or something (like so)... can't say for sure, but I do know it was Scotland that was given that title...

Ahhh the county bit makes sense, can't say I've heard it ... but you can see where the confusion would have arose.

As for midgies, DAMN STRAIGHT, I put on an outdoor party once a year it's up by Loch Chon, Aberfoyle... you have never seen midgies like it, size of bulldogs and twice as vicious!!!! Literally swarmed by them, there's probably about a couple hundred of them to each person , if there's one thing we could do without it's those things and believe me when I say living here doesn't make you any more used to them

I grew up a in a green place, am now a city dweller and don't miss the wee f*ckers one bit!! They would drive a sane man crazy!
