Ingo's in town from Aug 30 through Sep 3

Post by Ingo »

Would be fun to meet up with people for a smoke or three. I'll be at the Multatuli Hotel and so quite near the Haarlemerstraat area 'shops. Probably breakfasting at Barney's at 7AM. Otherwise will be spending a lot of time getting baked and visiting all the museums I missed a year ago. My Museumkart will still be valid so they're all free. Yay! I am such a museum geek, especially when stoned.

I intend to make a serious attempt to try as many different varieties as I possibly can in 5 days. My entire office is expecing a full report with photos when I return. (Many future vacations are riding on this information  ) Because of this, I will have a bit of a stash built up by Monday, Sep 3, and I will need to get rid of it somehow since I cannot bring it back to the states :(

Anyone want to meet up on Sep 3 evening?

I'll figure out where and post a bit later.

Glad to hear you are making the trip.Looking forward to your reports. As far as any stash you have left, why don't you hide it somewhere in town and then post hints on this forum as to its location(not too easy of hints) then there would be a kind of cool scavenger hunt for members to participate in :D

I'll try to be in Barneys at 7:00 or so on Fri Aug 31 and Sat Sep 1 and maybe Mon Sep 3. I'm normally a morning person, so we'll see how well I adjust after each night's in-room white-out. :D

I'm easy to recognize - short graying dirty blonde hair (on the side, none on top) and a big mustache, glasses, hawaiian shirt, big-ass grin from the weed or hash I consumed before you got there. I'm a 50 year old geek, so my daily plans include hitting a lot of museums which may not interest anyone else, but it will be fun to share smoke and breakfast. I'm pretty familiar with Amsterdam (this is visit #6) and can usually point newcomers toward what they're looking for.

I'm also into food (as you will be able to tell when you see me) and it would really be cool to collect a few people for a totally stoned rijstafel dinner on Sunday. Rijstafel is Indonesian cuisine - big mound of rice and a bunch of small bowls of different meat+veg+sauce dishes to ladle over the rice. It works best with 4+ people so that we can get a large selection of dishes. Everything contains seafood (shrimp paste at least) so it's not for the fish-fearing.

Geo-caching my leftover stash, what a cool idea. Will have to think about that. Got some ideas. Could be much fun. Will have to see if I can enlist budtenders and/or bartenders to help with this ( to ensure caches do not just go to the first person to feel under a table top or something.)

There will be lots of little 0.5 gram packets coming out of this. Perhaps a Monday (Sep 3) meetup in a coffeeshop would be in order. I really expect to have a dozen half gram packets left over from all my sampling. Will try to cache the best, but there will be a lot of others.

There will be a big post after I return with photos of everything I purchased and commentary. My coworkers have demanded this as several of them are planning fuure A'dam vacations based on my experiences.

See y'all in a couple of weeks.

I've stayed at the Multatuli, that's on Prins Henrikkade, yes? It's not at all bad. One of the better cheaper places I have used.

Hope you have fun! And yes, Barney's is just a short walk from your digs 8)

Thank you, it is a labor of love. Be sure to check out Coffeeshop Frog Hollow for menus and other goodies.

Feel free to plan your own meet and greet. Just give me a date, time, and place and I'll post it for you. As I see it a meet and greet is a win win situation. Maybe no one shows up, you spend an hour in a coffeeshop of our choice, not a loosing situation. Everyone in town shows up and it turns into a crawl, another win situation. Anything in the middle is still a win.

Can you meet up at Abraxas, Nes, or Ricks Cafe on Saturday Morning. Our plane gets in at 7:00 am and plan to take the train from Airport to Central Station. (have not taken a train since last visit to Boston)
We want to drop of luggage at the Hotel (near dam) and the nearest coffee house is Abraxas, Nes, or Ricks Cafe. I figure once we get everything organized by about 10:00-10:30 AM we will be ready to party.

Going out to eat dinner no problem. I really want to see Ann Frank's house and many other places of interest.

Nes is a bar now, no weed or hash sales.
