Hey guys, after coming back from Amsterdam last month I have given up smoking cannabis. I don't know the main reason for this move but after sampling some of the finest cannabis available, I guess I don't want to further damage my body if the marijuana available here isn't of the same potency.

Has anyone else given up after visiting Amsterdam? If so, did you eventually revert back to smoking marijuana?

I used to be so passionate about cannabis but I seem to have lost interest.

i always smoke more, and my passion for better weed only becomes greater. who's to say what normal is

i dont really smoke that much when im not in amsterdam anyway, only if someone else has some or very rarely i buy it.

You will only smoke in Dam. That's what I do. In 1-2 months you will startin to get mad and go again.

Kinda the reverse of the story here!! I had more or less given up and had a bit of time on me hands, booked a trip to dam and got right back on it when I got back to the UK.

I'm a bit more appreciative of a nice smoke these days though and the thought of a dry period is more then manageable whereas before it was a scary thought.

Is is nice to have a bit of a lay off every now and again. I find the first smoke after a lay off is not always the most pleasent, I sometimes feel I have to almost re-learn being stoned after a lay off.

Hell, no!

I sometimes even take a (very rare, for me) tolerance break for a day or two before Dam.

And I have to have something good i to come home to.

I guess with that said everyone's tolerance is different..They are happy going there and enjoying what they smoke..Not everyone might be able to get this smoke that you do..I say let em' be and enjoy the freedom to choose from a variety of smoke..

I have also smoked stuff from other countries far better than anythig in Amsterdam's topurosty parts...., but if you know the area well enough, and know some of te 'off-the-beaten-track' places, you can get some of the world's best, still....

It's a mission, and a scary one if it's your first trip, but it is out there......
