Hello one and all.

Well I moved from one big island to another.Now im here in England for a few months and I begin to understand what Dr.Gonzo ment in a previous post about living in London.

Anyway I have been to the 'dam about once every month since June and that is a good thing.My question is where is the bud here?
I had a great connection in Tokyo, albeit an expensive one(about $83US per 1.3 grams), but I havent even caught a whiff here.
Are my weed senses off?Me?

So I open up this thread for my newly adopted countrymen/women to discuss the pros and cons of scoring in the UK.

I was a home grower for 7 years so the thought has crossed my mind to do something a little more scaled down from what I had but its good to have a connection for those inbetween months.

Anyone else?

I had thought there were at least a couple of regions in London were even (weed) dealing on the street had a blind eye turned... is this not the case anymore?

Always thought you could score no sweat up near Camden Locks. Theres always a few moody lookin' Jamaicans stood on the bridge there and i think they knock out 'erb.

Not too sure of quality and pretty sure it would be expensive, bit less than 40 quid for just over a gram though!!!

Jesus, Gloucestershire would be around 25 for a 1/4 oz....

Is that definitely right, or is 3.5g not around 1/8 (henry)??

Can't speak for London personally but I've lived in Exeter, Leeds, Loughborough and Notitngham and never had any trouble finding pretty good weed, normally having multiple sources in case of a drought!

I have tons of friends who seem to score excellent quality weed on a regular basis. from what I've heard Camden is a waste of time, they're just there to rip you off.

Best you can do is start subtely asking around, chances are a dealer lives less than a mile from you!

I should really have been a bit clearer... there's nothing wrong with the weed as such, but if you want really good shit, grow yer own... there's no shortage of dealers and no shortage of shit to be smoked, but you know yourself when you get a taste of the good stuff it's hard to go back, exactly what happened to me with beer and grass, I'd have been better off drinking piss water and smoking substandard weed... I've had to dig a moat outside my house to stop the bank manager getting onto the grounds

Localised patter, we say half dod or half Q here but nobody I know sells less than a Q, some wont even sell less than halfs... it's normally something your friend sells you as a favour, like half of his personal Q or something...

in london i would go to camden, never bought their personally but i know people that go their if theyre takin a day trip to london and want somethin to smoke

Henry VIII probably most famous of the Kings called Henry, at least within Britain; hence henry=1/8

I was in Peckham last week sat outside the Wetherspoons pub, I was asked four times by West Indian men and Youths if I wanted to buy weed...... in the space of about an hour.

I imagine Brixton is much the same...... Aswell as Shoreditch.

Do not buy UK weed from the streets; only ever from a grower... and an experienced one, at that, not an amateur, or a first-timer.

Almost all the UK street weed currently is underweight, overpriced, badly cured or not cured at all, harvested too early, practically devoid of cannabinoids, and will give you litttle more than a sore throat.

Avoid it at all costs. Really.

Those guys in Camden are African, not Jamaican and their stuff is rubbish. Poor quality skunk from the Yardies near Brixton station if that floats your boat (though they may rip you off) and there's also a few guys around parts of Portbello Road, which is hit and miss.

Well all the prices seem good but it seem that there is a quality issue.While pricey,the buds and hash in Tokyo where top notch.
I live not far from Canada Waters.Im still new here so im not familar with any of the locations mentioned here.I have heard of the famous soap bar and read a story or two of glass shards being shaken on buds to impove their looks.Im far too experianced in the handling of MJ to be fooled by this but I wonder how much inspection you are allowed before making the deal?
