Well thanks to everyone(-1) for posting.It was a fun discussion but lets let it die to keep the peace.
Final funny tale:

They had a french food fest in Greenwich this weekend me and mine went to.Good food and fresh veggies being sold.Anyway was buying some peaches from a fruit stand and be doggoned if I didnt smell weed...like,STRONG!As I made my purchase I comment to the guy behind the counter,"Smells like some primo bud around here my friend,good one."
He smiled and as we went to the other side of the space I saw near the cash register a huge half smoked spliff.My girl and I laughed and walked on to the nearby park and again I smelled weed.Up ahead this Japanese girl was coughing her head off and her friends were asking in Japanese are you okay?Again we laughed and I said to my girl "I guess it is plentiful around here.This was a bit of a wierd experiance to get hit by lightning twice in one afternoon,but wierd funny,so there it is.There is a bit to found around it seems in the isles.

See you at the 'nes next sunday tea time...

Why would anyone take offence to that anyway? Weed is part of Cambodian, Indian, Thai and Nepali culture too (amongst others)...it's a fact, not a negative or derogatory stereotype.
