Hi folks,

First I d like to thank all the contributors to this forum as it has been a great source of information to plan my upcoming trip to our beloved city.
I ll be there with a buddy sep 11th - 14th. We are both in our mid twenties with about 10 years of smoking background, english/french speakers.
This will be my 3rd trip to this great city, all of which were dedicated to extensive coffeeshop “field research”

So far here s my shopping list

Dampkring or Tweede Kamer
NYCD, Mexican Haze, Alegria, Amnesia, SSH, Rifman Salma
I had the pleasure of trying some of their ice/bubblehash (23e/g I believe) back in 2003 but with now a top price of 50e/g I ll have to pass on this delight.

Barney’s Lounge
Red Congo, Panama Gold

Bushdocter
Some outdoor Ice if they still carry it, Kali Mist Ice

Katsu
Kushage, Crystal Clear, and whatever else the budtender will recommend the day I visit

Noon
Blueberry or Blueberry Haze, I smoked some Blueberry (not sure which shop I bought it from…)in 2001 which was the best tasting weed I ever had, the high was nothing special but that berry taste is such a great memory. Hopefully Noon’s Blueberry will live up to this souvenir.

Mellow yellow
Blueberry Ice, mostly curious about the taste, most ice hash I ve smoked had some sort of citrus taste, will this be different?

Grey Area
Pretty much anything they will recommend me although I d love to try Chocolope, Grey Haze, Martian Mean Grean or any Ice they might carry. I ve tried their Grey Mist Crystals (kif) in the past but didn t think much of it.

Amnesia
Cherry Bomb (the name got me curious), I m always on the look out for some fruit tasting weed.

Basjoe
Not sure what to buy there but I read it s the place for a smoothie and that the rasta budtender is someone that must be met.

Abraxas
I have a great memory of their Abraxas Special from 2003 which was a bargain.
I m generally not a big fan of blond hash high but that one really had a great taste.

Pollinator
After seeing some member gear picture from this shop I must stop there, but is this really a coffeeshop type of place or do you have to be “in the known” to experience some of their spectacular stuff. (much respect to Mia for her invention)

A little anecdote: I bought some ice hash for the 1st time in 2001 from some small coffeeshop near Rokin if my memory isn t playing with me, I didn t think much of it when I bought it as it was mostly a curiosity (“WTF why is it so expensive” type of deal) but when I got home and smoked some of it after a long day it all made sense. “dam I m so high I can t even use the remote to switch channel” I had the remaining of that gram I bought after a night of drinking and boy, did I turn white/green, although i didn t get sick I was glad the table was here for me to hold onto for the next hour or two…

Anyway back to the program

We ll pay a visit to Conscious Dreams to try some shrooms, most likely hawaiians which should make some great tea for our 1st mushroom trip… thinking of an afternoon at the Vondel park to enjoy it.

I might spoil myself with a spacecase grinder (that titanium one looks nifty) at The Old Man Shop or maybe some glass from the RooR Shop

As far as food goes, I think we ll have a few meals at Gauchos, A fusion or Wing Kee, very interested to hear people suggestions regarding restaurants, I m a big time sushi enthusiast, any good sushi bar in town?

As you may have noticed I m clearly more a sativa type of guy, that s mostly because I like to be active enough to reach the next coffeeshop, hash (ice mostly, I m in love with that thing) will be more of a “time to pass out” night stuff, or possibly in an ice cold bong for a 1st smoke of the day, I can already feel the head rush…

Anyway If you have suggestions or recommendations I d love to hear them.
I m aware of the “who s in town” page but I m not sure how I feel about meeting internet people IRL, guess we’ll see.

i always start with there northern lights,not that exotic,cheapest on the menu,but it certainly hits ya were it matters

I find the best plans are to make no plans at all when it comes to the Coffeeshops. I always have a rough idea where I want to get to but then just let you feet do the walking and see were you end up. Much more fun that way...
