I'll second that. The kids are taught history at school, part of their countries history is the sad part where they were occupied unwillingly by a more powerful force then their own small military force. The occupiers went on to ethnically cleanse the city, leaving no jews, gypsies or gays.

Now that has been spelt out (briefly) for people that may not know, you can understand that the Dutch may not be too keen on their German neighbours.

The best bet is not to bring it up, and let sleeping dogs lie.
