Which people might they be?

Stayed there in about '95. Best hotel i've ever stayed in. Paid about £100 a night for a twin back then.

Whatever you do just DONT raid the mini bar - about £7 for a G&T back then, didnt stop us tho, managed to do £200ish.

Always wanted to go back there but cant justify the reds these days.

^ im pretty sure its all non smoking. iv always went outside in front of the hotel AT NIGHT and smoked a blunt/joint. just be discreet about it. there are also these outdoor hallways iv smoked in..uncovered connecting the canal houses of the hotel. never had a problem doing that at night or very early in the morning(im talking 5-7 am..jet lag ftl) but then again never been caught either. but as of my last stay(january of this year) i never had an issue doing this..once again just be discreet. i wont say i recommend this though. i dunno if they would tell you to stop or straight up kick you out of the hotel if they caught you. def dont smoke in the rooms though. dont even think about it. they seem to be fine with having weed in your room though as long as u arent toking. my room smelled of unsmoked weed seeping out of my backpack. and i met some people staying a tthe hotel my age and smoked with them at coffeeshops all day. when they left they left a bag of unsmoked weed and uneaten mushrooms with the front desk who in turn left the bag hanging on my door knob....only in amsterdam haha.
