Trip Report: Fourth and final day.

Post by Jack Markham »

It was our last day and had to be at the airport by 2p.m. We were up, showered and out on the streets by 10:30a.m. I was a bit lethargic from last nights indulgence. We headed straight for Pink Floyd. We had a coffee and looked through the tubs of weed once more. I couldn’t resist more of the Super Silver Haze, Swampy didn’t get anything from here he was finishing off loads of little bits of leftovers from an assortment of bags. We were stoned in no time. Swampy wanted to try more of the Silver Bubble from Grey Area, so we left Pink Floyd and walked to the G.A.

Swampy got the Silver Bubble, we were able to get a seat and Swampy rolled a joint of the Silver Bubble, he packed the joint and it knocked him sideways, this is a great weed. Swampy was desperate for some food after the joint so we got a sandwich and coke from a near buy café which sorted us out.

With a bit of life back in us we headed to the greenhouse effect so that we were quite near the central station. We sat ourselves in the bar and drank a few beers and smoked weed and hash joints like there was no tomorrow, we were stoned to the bone again. It was finally time to leave, I could see the disappointment in the Swampsters face. He turned to me and said maybe we could buy a coffeeshop here. If I had pound for every time I heard that I told him. He was sad to be leaving, as is the norm for everyone who frequents this board. We all know the feeling and it’s not nice. Bags over our shoulder we headed to the train station and jumped on a train to the airport, smoked one last joint and had an uneventful journey home.

Some side notes:

- Every member of coffeeshop staff we came across were as nice as pie to us, this has now got Swampy convinced there are no other type of people employed in Amsterdam coffeeshops or anywhere else in Amsterdam for that matter. It has lulled him into a false sense of security, but I’m sure it’ll be blown apart by some obnoxious dealer at some point in his life.

- The Greenhouse Centrum has upped it’s level of product and service to that of what it used to be. Lovely Arjans Haze and Diesel.

- De Kuil has lost its draw for me since it stopped selling beer, it just doesn’t have the same kind of vibes as before, I am glad I knew Amsterdam before the Law to beer and weed sales had made its mark, also I am glad in knew the guilder.

- The Gun Powder from STIX, when mixed with weed in a joint is way to powerful for me, I nearly had a white one, but not quite.

- The red light bar and stones café are brilliant places for a bit of everything, for first timers or veterans. The girls behind the bar are exceptional on all accounts. I haven’t still worked out if Swampy is bullshitting me that he has one of the staffs telephone number from the red light bar, she was gorgeous. He told me he’s spoken to her twice since he’s come back home. This is a bit weird to me, I don’t know if the little bugger is winding me up. I wouldn’t put it past him to have her number and I wouldn’t put it past him to be winding me up.

My opinion:best weed: Super Silver house. Pink Floyd, outstanding.

Worst weed: Super Silver Haze from Mellow Yellow I am sad to say.
About the SSH from Mellow Yellow. As I wrote in my report, I was told it was not on the menu. I don’t really think this was SSH strain. The guy had no reason to bullshit me, he knew I used the shop when I was in town and that I would be back in future. I think he thought he was doing me a favour, he must have obviously rated it.

Swampy’s opinion: Best weed: Silver Bubble. Grey Area

Worst Weed: Diesel. Amnesia.

It was a great Trip, one I will always remember and have little special place for in my brain cells (what’s left). Swampy ‘s nagging me every other day to book some flights for the January/February some time, he is desperate to go back. Doesn’t the bug get us all. He popped over my house earlier this evening and told me he’s dreaming of Amsterdam every night. I think that’s how it goes for all of us after our first couple of trips. He loves the reports and says it takes him right back to being there.

I have another three night trip booked for November, there are 6 of us going. I look forward to writing a trip report about our escapades.

Cheers to you all,

Jack Markham & Swampy.

Another great report Jack, and I am sorry it had to end so soon for you and Swampy. But on the bright side, you got to experience a trip a lot of people can only dream about. And it sounds like you have another fun trip in the planning stages. I also appreciate your honest opinion on some of the weed and c/s.

Enjoyed all four reports Jack, thanks for taking the effort! I will have to write mine up.

Know what Swampy means about dreaming of the place, me and my partner in crime are in the first stages of planning our 2008 trip and I had Dam dreams last night.

Tall Guy, Weemanio,

In regards to Swampy, as you mentioned.

I have showed Swampy the site. He said that forums weren’t his thing. He said they always end up in conflict. However, I was with him about an hour ago and he asked what has been said on the board, his computer is out of use at the mo, him and his mate are up grading it, shit, I’d just give it to a shop to do an upgrade. I told him to join up. He said “nah”. I’ll encourage him more when I speak to him next.

Worst Weed: Diesel. Amnesia.
 see im not the only one sayin diesel sux it not cuz it won a CC trophy that its the best
i think the ppl whom vote at CC but know how to vote and how can you vote after they make you smoke all 27 in one night? all the high times CEB judge vote 2-3 nights b4 CC start and they have to smoke all the types of weed! would you be able to smoke 27 joints in 4-5hours?
i cant!if you can i think you got a big problem
took me 1 day to get all 27-28 but took me 4 more days to smoke it all  and even then i was high 24/7 and by the end i couldnt tell if was good or not!
