I dont think so, EA have released some titles for the mac like BF2142, I would not buy a mac for gaming, I would stick to PCs if you want a computer primarily for gaming. P.S bioshock is fucking great. On the vista subject, yeah vista is good for ordinary web browsing and stuff like that, I have a friend that uses vista and he also has acreative x-fi sound card and he says that the x-fi was a waste of money with vista as his games dont have EAX sound in them, a crock of shit if you ask me. I hope to god M$ get the sound bit sorted out.

Aye, although the soundcard is just part of a long list of problems for the end user. They've got a fucking cheek calling this an "update", it's a memory hogging peice of shit that's firmly behind XP in the MOS race.

Dutch Consumer Association declares war on Vista

Mountain out of a molehill?

The Dutch Consumers Association has called for a boycott of Windows Vista, after the software giant refused to offer free copies of Windows XP to users who are having problems with Vista.

A spokesman for the Consumentenbond says that the product has many teething problems, and "is just not ready". The association claims it received over 5000 complaints about Vista. Many printers and other hardware failed to work, the association says, computers crash frequently and peripherals are very slow.

On Thursday the association met Microsoft Netherland to discuss the problems. But offering XP to users is not a solution, according to Microsoft, which notes that many new peripherals are developed explicitly for Vista.

However, the Consumers Association points out that Microsoft offers XP to business clients when they are having problems. To combat critics, Microsoft Netherlands launched a website on Friday which addresses many issues raised by the Consumentenbond.

In forums, many Dutch Vista users complain that the Consumentenbond is making a mountain out of a molehill. Many problems seem to occur on older systems or with older peripherals.

They would say that, wouldn't they?

Peripherals should not have to be developed just for Vista, what a crock of shit! Their PR dept is clearly as shoddy as their coding dept
