Lousy smarch weather (2006)

Post by Nonesuch »

In case you're planning to visit in March, here's some pictures from the St. Patrick's day before last, to give you an idea what to expect.

Pack a jacket. You'll need it.

I've been in March, pretty cold, and very wet, even some snow. The good part is the coffeeshops are pretty empty.

can relate brother, we used to go every march,as well as august&december, but was march 2006 when we decided no more, the wind was the real problem piercing through every alleyway everywhere you turned it was in your face, rain just cemented our descision, shame as march used to be a great time but alas no more. :(

sorry for being a bit pedantic here but St Paddy's day is the 17th of march and your photo says march 19.

As I recall, we just missed the worst of the March weather that year, maybe got one morning with snow, one day of drizzle. I think we also just missed being in town the same days as you were?

The linked web-album spans march 14-19. I didn't post anything from the actual day of St. Patrick because my memory and my photos of that day are particularly blurry (gee, I wonder why).

Just for HasAnyoneSeenMyPipe, here's some pictures from 17/3/2006:

Most of these don't have visible timestamps because I turn that "feature" off on *my* camera.
