Legal Loopholes
If there was such things as legal loophole dont you think every coffee shop would be doing that!??!
Im not trying to get into a arguement here but why would one or two or three places get away with doing both when the rest have stopped??
Dosnt make sense?

I never said it made sense, I'm just saying that is how it is. I don't make the rules, or exploit the loopholes, I just stay there. And I see, so I know.
I don't take kindly to being called a liar.
Any case, I daresay most of the coffeeshops stopped selling alcohol largely through choice; most do not want drinkers on their premises, so for them the new law was all the excuse they needed to ditch the beer, which for many of them was simply another way to make a profit.
And I have to say, having watched many UK and USer's that think they can handle it losing it on beer and smoke over the years, I think it is a good move. Far less twattery nowadays.

Happened way before the law came in too!
I bought weed in a bar that had lost it's weed license..... how do you suppose I managed that? A very well known one too.....
The easiest way round as far as I can see is to be part of an organisation that has both types of establishment.... then the bar only has to "send" for weed.

Basjoe still sells regualr beer, too, I think. They did until very recently, at least.themadhippy wrote:woulds one of them be basjoes by any chance? like a few other coffee shops they serve Amstel malt, a non alcoholic beer which unlike english non alcholic beers, taste rather niceWAS THERE TWO DAYS AGO AND I BOUGHT BEER!
Nice guys.
One was a well known coffeeshop, had the beer taps and weed menu right there on top of the bar.itsmymagicallife wrote:Were these 3 places bars where you bought marijuana from a house dealer? It's much easier to hide a drug stash from the police than it would be for a coffeeshop to hide a beer tap or cold beer in the cooler.DrGonzo wrote:In May I bought Weed and Beer in at least 3 places.
There are Laws against all sorts of things all over the world, all of them get broken..... all.

Basjoe has never sold any alcohol. Grrl_Interrupted you are so full of BS! Stop the wild story telling. Get a little grip on reality.Grrl_Interrupted wrote:Basjoe still sells regualr beer, too, I think. Again, I ask, 'Why would I lie'? Nothing to be gained by it.
Maybe they sell beer to me because they know me? Ever think of that? Discretionary sales?
I was there last week, I think I ought to know what I bought and what I didn't
Next you'll be telling me they don't sell hashish....
It's you who needs to get a grip, kidder; accusing people on websites of lying, have you heard yourself?

Hey,calm down people!
If you really want to know if there is Alcohol available at Rokerij,Basjoes or any other Coffeeshop just write them an Email and ask. The most of them have a website or at least a Email address.
I think it's good thing that no more Alcohol is served in most places.Heroin and Cocaine are not available in Coffeeshops because they are Hard Drugs,so why should Alcohol be?It's a very Dangerous Hard Drug too!
When i am in Amsterdam, the last thing i would do is to Drink Alcohol because it Destroys all the Effects the good Marihuana gives.

Have a Lager
fully agree! mixing drugs together often causes trouble, so its a good one not to sell both at one place in my opinionPothead Pixie wrote:Hey,calm down people!

Saying that you can still buy beer in an Amsterdam coffeeshop is like saying you can buy marijuana at a health food store in America if you buy a hemp candy bar.Grrl_Interrupted wrote:Again, I ask, 'Why would I lie'? Nothing to be gained by it.

Several coffeeshops do still sell beer. But all beer now sold in any coffeeshop in the Netherlands is non-alcoholic. Not even what we used to call near beer. This most definitely includes the Basjoe Coffeeshop.
There is no alcohol served at any coffeeshop in the Netherlands. Maybe next door but always in separate rooms.
