I always try to do the straight stuff the first couple of days although more than once I've had to cram them in the last day before flying out.
After eight trips I only consider the Van Gogh and Anne Frank house as required although the Stedelijk and Rijksmuseum are worth multi visits.

the one & only plan is make sure you have your passport,money,digs then go with the flow bud

i got all the museams and galleries one could dream for in London. when im in dam the coffeeshops get my full attention

my only "plan" is to go to the coffeeshop nearest the sight I want to see...enjoy the moment and stumble out knowing I am in the right direction, hopefully jogging my memory...I have only been successful 50% of the time...intent is worth alot, right!
