Hi fans!
I enjoy reading this site very much, especially the travelogue section, so I decided to join this forum due my first trip to Amsterdam will happen soon:
From the 27th to the 29th december me and four friends will raid the city. or we just visit and be unbelievable peaceful and friendly.

I'm 20 years old and from Germany, med-student and musician.
that's all i can tell you right now 'bout me, cause everything else is either boring or unimportant (unless you desperatly want to know )

My concrete question is: who of you lives in amsterdam?
I've read many reviews and was once in the Dam just to pick up some weed for the holidays and i choose the Grey Area: Great shop. I realy dont want to miss the Grey Haze and the Mist Christals when there this time.
But I'm incredibly afraid, that the GA will be closed due my visit cause they say they would be closed in holidays. And due 27th till 29th technically IS in the holidays I would realy like to say pretty please that anybody living in amsterdam will go there and ask. Possible?

Welcome Grau, I don't live in Holland, but I envy people like you that live SO close.

Hi Grau. I don't live there, I'll also be there for christmas/new year time and GA may be closed (doubtful), however there are plenty of CS that won't be closed, just choose your shop well, don't go for 'tourista' places and you should get qualitat. Have fun

as bhang buddie says grey area may or may not be open they have this policy "open if can be bothered"(its not 1 of my fav places,not denying they have quality weed but so have plenty others,even better in my humble opinion)
but as BB says theres plenty quality smokers to frequent & if the grey areas shut just pop around the corner to amnesia where theres quality weed/hashish & they will be open,plus you,ll get a seat to chill out
