Howdy, already announced it in the introduction section,
(there: https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4444 )
I will be in the Dam right after christmas, from the 27th till the 29th of december. I will bring four friends and we will celebrate youth :)

we will be staying in bob's youth hostel and i plan on visiting the following shops:
grey area, amnesia, club media, paradox
possible candidates are:
tweede kamer or pink floyd, mellow yellow, barneys, prix d'ami, siberie

i try to keep the amount small, because i realy like to stay somewhere if it's once perfect.. i especialy plan on getting gear from the grey area and go to paradox to enjoy..

You of course may set me on the Whos-in-town... ;)

Buuuut, I've got a big problem.
quote out of my other thread:
My concrete question is: who of you lives in amsterdam?
I've read many reviews and was once in the Dam just to pick up some weed for the holidays and i choose the Grey Area: Great shop. I realy dont want to miss the Grey Haze and the Mist Christals when there this time.
But I'm incredibly afraid, that the GA will be closed due my visit cause they say they would be closed in holidays. And due 27th till 29th technically IS in the holidays I would realy like to say pretty please that anybody living in amsterdam will go there and ask. Possible?
NOW, you may tell me anything you want, like or need to tell me :D

Best regards,
herr grau

nice selection HG,as i said in your other post the grey area may or may not be open, especially early in the day & also late in the day, renound for shutting up whenever they feel like seems they dont have set times for premises to be open :?

also mind & take ID with you when you go on your travels as most places serve 18 year olds but some are over 21,s only.

Bob's, huh? You're braver than me.... ;)

Prix D'Ami is pretty crud, in my experience, Barneys has good weed but an increasingly loud and obknoxious British clientele, and I also find Grey Area very overrated, personally.

Tweede Kamer, however, I casannot recommend highly enough... Great place to chill out and the gear and the staff are both very pleasant.

Enjoy your trip, and yes do take ID: it is actually illegal in the Netherlands to not carry it with you.

Thanks guys...
Grrl_interrupted, actually no, i'm pretty much of a coward when it comes to planning. i seem to attract bad luck in an almost unreal way. Being a group, you can book a room there. It doesn't matter to me, if it's uncomfortable, because i can make comfortablitiy out of pure air :D
i dont mind rats living there either, they're pretty tasteful actually. a good stock of rats would save a lot of money for food
it's important that it's cheap, just and only.. bob will charge us with 21€ pppn, and that's SO ok with me..

bout the ID: i know. i cant imagine a more stupid thing than going to amsterdam without at least seven backup-IDs (in case you loose six...) :P
actually it's illegal not to carry it with you in germany, too. and it has been - in germany as in the netherlands - for a long time. but only for a couple of months the dutch proceed on actually executing this law.
i know folks that were charged 50€ und were kept in the policestation for one day for this crap. however...

to the important stuff: GA of course is not the place to chill out.. it's too small, i've - like i said before - been there once just to pick gear and it's not comfortable. but their qualitiy is legendary. the grey haze i had was the best haze i've ever smoked in my life (and I just love haze, it's my favourite strain ever) and i'm pretty impressed by that. I was hoping that club media might have pretty good haze due their direct sourcing from the flying dutchmen who - if i'm informed correctly - are breeder of the most pure and originaly haze available.. time will show..

the shop i the most look forward to visit is the Paradox. I don't know why, but this shop attracts me incredibly. (I'm by the way extremely certain, that this rascist-story of ACD is not true. the owner's are mentioned as alternative, politicaly left orientated people...)

i perhaps will pop into de tweede kamer and barney's to stock up, but i won't stay there in any way. From Barney's i'd like to pick up morning glory, laughing buddah, perhaps g13xhash and half a gram barney rubble.
from the Dampkring's menu i run for Diesel and Super Silver Haze...
Same is for Mellow Yellow. If the shop is not completely different, than I think it is, it doesn't attract me in any way. I'll go there, pick up some Orange Haze and make my way off... Same is for Stix, which I forgot earlyer and won't hit, if the GA is open.. Otherwise I have to go and pick up some Gunpowder *KaaaaBAAAM*

I've heard this too. Club Media is a shop I'd like to hit up, but haven't yet. Let me know how this shop turns out, I've heard good things about their diesel, and all their weed is bio, which is what I try to smoke. If I can, I try to steer clear of hydro.

I agree with GI, especially about GA - and I'm a brit, we'll see them in shorts, knee sox with sandals and hanky hats next....

I'm not looking forward meeting official tourists.. We always try to be quiet and friendly and in every dutch town I was there were these loud tourists you are ashamed of. I hope we can avoid them at A'dam

:D All you have to remember is that you're a tourist as well. It's a bit like 'Alice in Wonderland' and the character 'Mrs Do As You Would Be Done By'.

Behave as you would like others to behave and you should have a great time, with locals as well as other tourista. :D Bom Shiva
