NEW CONTAMINATION

Post by aaron »

This is doing the rounds on other forums, but ive not seen it on here yet, apologies if It is a repost but better to be safe than sorry.....
Leipzig, Germany (dpa) - Cannabis mysteriously laced with lead has made 19 people ill in the German city of Leipzig, police said Wednesday, issuing a warning to drug abusers to be on their guard against tainted marijuana.

A federal police laboratory has confirmed a high level of lead in the dried leaf, while doctors have found dangerous concentrations in the blood of the 19 abusers.

No one knows where it came from. An inquiry has begun with an appeal to dealers and users to have their stocks tested at the nearest police station.

Senior detective Uwe Matthias said prosecuting the users would be "non-priority." Asked if this meant an amnesty, he said authorities could not issue a guarantee to let them off.

The users had well over 2,000 micrograms of lead per litre of blood: the safe level is 300 and a level of 800 presages sickness. Symptoms of lead poisoning include cramps, abdominal pain and high blood pressure.

your lucky cheese!

There was loads about last summer, then it went away, and now its creeping back again with all the recent grow busts in the UK. its amazing that dealers are stupid enough to buy this crap still, id rather go without and wait for a sound contact to get something than risk poisoning myself.

Luckily im off to Holland to visit the family in a few weeks 8)

yep, I see loads of it about in the east of the UK. I can get clean bud but some of my mates who know full well what brick is and have been to Holland before still buy this sandy nasty smelling shit because its slightly cheaper and they think its clean, even though the taste and feel instantly tells otherwise.

Ive also seen a lot of bud that is incredibly wet but not like its just been freshly cut, more like its been soaked in something. drying it out makes it go dry and crispy, and the taste is odd.

Im quite pissed off at my mates who refuse to believe their weed is bricked because ultimatley who knows what health effects they may suffer in the long run :(

There was no info like this you just bought and smoked without question, infact you were thankfull for whatever you get.
