1-day-trip (saturday 14th)

Arrival
We arrived at 11:30 at the Ajax Stadium where we usually park and ride for 5€...put the prices have gone up to 6€ and the guys there now take the rules very strictly. The other times we came they gave us tickets for as many people as we wanted and had to pay only 5€, now they follow the rule that you only get 2 tickets for the 5€.
We took the metro to Centraal, and.....

Getting into Amsterdam
...there we were. In my beloved city and the best place in the world for stoners on this planet
We went there with 3 friends who started with their coffeeshop-tour immidiately. My girl and me first went to the shopping-streets near Centraal, bought her some shoes (girls.....) and some other things and met up with the other guys.....

The Coffeeshops
...at Greenhouse, the on in the Red Light Disctrict.
I didnt buy anything here as I dont intend to support this seedbank(just my opinion ). I only did a shot of the menu
The dealer was very unfriendly, which I can understand only a bit, because the counter was very busy with people buying stuff, but still he works in a coffeeshop which is a dream-job for so many other people...he should be smiling the whole day! sorry, but I dont like this guy as he was very unfriendly the last time as well when we went....too bad for them, I wont buy anything here or come back next time.

Then we headed over to the Dampkring, the one from Oceans Twelve, not the old Pink Floyd(which I like more because the people are friendlier, but it was too far away to go there). Surprise, surprise, the dealer was VERY friendly even though the counter here was even busier which I thanked him with a small tip. He saw I was talking German with my friend and he started talking in German with me immidiately. I got used to talk in English to the dealers, but this was very nice behaviour from his side. There was a cat in the shop, I dont know why, but I have seen several shops with cats in it, I like this very much as I have had cats myself since I was 5 or so
Bought here:

Diesel
The Kushage smells really fruity and the Diesel has that typical agressive citrus-smell, but it doesnt look or smell as it did the other times we bought it from the Dampkring. Either they changed the mother-plant or the genetics of the mother-plant are getting "weak".....I hope both are not true and it was just not as well cured as the other times

Then we went to the Grey Area.
It was very full, the people were standing from the counter to the door and even a bit outside...it toook me 20minutes to get to the counter. I bought:
Chocolope
smells very,very fruity....even though he told me, that there were no big buds left I took it, because this would have been the third time I wanted it, but didnt get it....and in the end he gave me 1g for 10€ instead of 13,5€, because there were no big buds anymore...seems like a good deal for me ;;), so I gave him a small tip of 50cent. He was of course very friendly to whoever came to his counter, I like the atmosphere here. Even though they won many prizes, they are still the potheads from your neighborhood
Menu

Then we headed over to Amnesia which is right around the corner. The guy told us he would only let Flybynite take pictures of his menu. He was very friendly and showed us everything we wanted to see. Decided to buy:
G13 Haze
Laughing Buddah
Both have a strong sweet smell.

Then we took our way down to Bushdocter.
The dealer there was not very friendly, so we just took the Strawberry and left.
So our tour was close to the end and we went to Stix to buy some Gunpowder
The dealer was really unfriendly, I wont buy here again, sorry.

Then we left for our final goal, the Mellow Yellow.
The dealer was friendly, but I was disappointed because the Blueberry Haze wasnt on the menu anymore. Therefore there was a new strain called Bubblegum Haze. I bought:
Blueberry
Super Silver Haze
Bubblegum Haze (No picture as we already gave it to friend, sorry)

Chocolope - Grey Area
The chocolope was definitely one of the best smokes I ever had. We agreed that there is a chocolate aftertaste, very sweet and very smooth smoke. The high is definitely like I imagined the high of a Thai. Definitely worth the 13,5€.

G13 Haze - Amnesia
This was the biggest flop of our shoppings. No special taste, no special high or anything else. Maybe they are not selling the real thing there, but if so I cant understand how this strain won a cannabis cup.

Laughing Buddah - Amnesia
The 2nd worst of our shoppings, I dont know why, because I thought Amnesia was a good coffeeshop, but the LB I remember from Haarlem last year was so spicy and tasty. The one from Amnesia could have been everything, we wont buy here anymore, sorry

Kushage - Dampkring
Very nice smoke, smooth and fruity. Gave us more of a celebral high, one of the best tasting buds we ever smoked.

Super Silver Haze - Mellow Yellow
WOW! What a nice smoke. We have smoked several SSHs in different shops at the German border, but it seems we never had the real one. The one from MY is definitely like "BANG" in your had, after this we were sitting at the table laughing for hours. The taste is good, very smooth and a bit sweet, you can see and taste that its very well cured!

Strawberry - Bushdocter
It really smells a bit like Strawberry, but the effect and the taste when you actualy smoke it are nothing special. Not well cured, it scratches your throat, in my oppinion the most disappointing bad buy on this trip.

Diesel - Dampkring
Well....you dont have to say this over and over again, but paying 8,5€ for this strain is actually not even near the price I would sell this. For the 8,5€ you get a great lemon-tasting bud, which is very well cured, is a smooth smoke and gives you such a high, it always seems a bit psychodelic to me. The only strain that can compare with this one is the Blueberry Haze. Diesel from Dampkring is unreachable!

Gunpowder - Stix
This shit is fucked up. It`s really disgusting to smoke this, the taste makes you wanna drive to Stix and give it back. The effect is not even near to anything else I ever smoked from a coffeeshop. It was the first time I smoked something from a coffeeshop and wasnt stoned like hell! Dont buy this!

Blueberry - Mellow Yellow
Oh my god. I cant stop dreaming of smoking this strain. Its such a nice smoke. Its sweet,smooth and some of the best cured stuff I ever bought. Always hits us like a 100kg hammer, definitely the best Indica I ever smoked.

Overall winners are again, Mellow Yellow and Dampkring. We will visit Grey Area for the Chocolope again and wont come back to Stix, Amnesia and Bushdocter(maybe for the 15€ ice-o-lator).

looks as if you had a top time. tho there was far to many unfriendly dealers, this really puts me off a shop, as you say shady those guys are selling pot for a living in Amsterdam they should at least have a bit of manners after all they cost nothing!! did you try any hash?

I didnt, but friends of us bought some yellow libanese from Sevilla, which didnt look,smell or taste good as they said....nothing more, sorry

Well....thats a different thing if you have had many people in your family who died from alcohol. You get another feeling for drugs. I consume them very carefully (of course there are exceptions like holidays in the netherlands where we smoke everyday a lot more than we do here in Germany in 3 weeks ) Of course I would like to light up a spliff every minute when I have weed as good as this one, but a drug shouldnt be dominating your will

well of course you dont get addicted physicaly to the herb, but ....you know what i mean
about the dealer in stix, I didnt see the menu which was hanging on the wall behind me when I was standing at the counter. I asked him where the menu was and he told me "behind you" with a voice and a look that was saying "fuck you, are you dump?". after that I asked if he would do me half a gram of the Gunpowder, but he answered he could only do 1g.....I dont know where the problem in weighing half a gram is, he only wanted to get more money from me. that sucks.......didnt see such behaviour in any other shop (except in Bushdocter, but there at least it is clear you can only buy 2g packets).....what a sucker in my eyes

I will say about stix, it is a great shop and i love the hash and gunpowder but it kinda annoys me when they weigh up your deal that little bit over and say "is this ok"? so they can make them few extra cents!?!! When it happend the first time i went in i thought it may just be that budtender, but has happend everytime out the 3 i have been in there and they were all different dealers, not rude or anything i just think is a little cheeky that they must train their staff to sell like this!

Oh well i love the temple balls and gunpowder and this dosn't stop me going there!!!

They always do that in Stix, they dont take offence if you say no you only want whatever you asked for.

Just do what I do and pick your Bud from the container, if your looking at the buds anyway its never really a problem. That way you can pick the sweetest looking piece of greeness on your terms.
