Live in Amsterdam, dine in Maastricht

Amsterdam is the most attractive Dutch city to live in, according to a new comparison of the 50 biggest local authorities in the Netherlands.
The capital is followed by Utrecht and Haarlem, while Heerlen is bottom of the list.
The ranking, published as an ‘atlas’, also shows Maastricht is by far the best when it comes to culinary quality, with Zwolle and Amsterdam in second and third place.
Rotterdam tops the list in terms of having the most people on welfare and the highest number of long-term unemployed. Haarlemermeer has the lowest long-term jobless total.
