Headed over soon...what would you not miss?

Post by pharaoh »

Thanks to all that make this forum what it is. I am headed to the Dam May 22 - 26 this year to give it a practice run before heading back for the Cup later in November.

I'm from the U.S., but being of extremely mixed ancestry, am fascinated by experiencing other cultures. Hope to engage in interesting tips and tales with everyone.

Anyone going to be around? What shops would you not miss in the Dam if you had 3 days?

Thx,
phaRaoh

Read and heed THIS excellent intro to Amsterdam.

Huh, you are doing a trip March 22 - 26 this year and it is already April. How is this possible? If I can figure out your real dates I'll post you on the Whos In Town page.

Enjoy

Sorry, meant May 22 - 26. I always get the two mixed up for some reason...can't remember why.

Mellow Yellow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dampkring (I like the one which was Pink Floyd before more)

If you are interested in the plant itself and never seen a growroom or plants growing outside you should visit the Cannabis College, which is in the Red Light district, pay 2€ and have a look at their garden......no one knows how long they can offer this beautiful view since dutch laws MAY change during this year when it comes to growing cannabis.

I'm crashing at the Artemis Hotel. I'm a frequent business traveler, so I like to stay in a comfortable place. I'm sure we'll run into each other at the coffee shops.

Getting excited about your trip yet?

ANY THOUGHTS ON IF THIS IS TOO FAR FROM THE CITY CENTER?

The magic formula, according to our research, was...

Sour Diesel (Grey Area), Chocolope (Grey Area) and Icelator (any quality shop) all mixed into a pure. Adios amigo.

Don't miss Homegrown Fantasy, Picasso (for a quality boutique shop), the Noon (if near the museum district) along with the other shops folks mentioned.

Haven't been there, but will one day. Seems like a nice shop. I'm starting to check out more shops on the perimeter; I think its a good idea to see where the locals go.

Hi
you are a bit far from the city center m8. you will probably need to use transport links to get into town. :)
Have a good one! :D
