I seriously doubt they enjoyed it during WWII either. Oppression is wrong regardless of the time and circumstances. You hide because of something you choose to do and that you could loose your freedom over. Anne Frank, family and friends had to hide because of who they were and that they could lose their life. They are all courageous heros in my book and when I go to the Anne Frank house, I pay tribute to the will to fight oppression. Peace.

there was a big and successful resistance in the Netherlands against the Nazi's, but she was only a little girl, doing what her father told her to, what he thought was in her best interest.

i dont disagree, you are right, there should be memorials to the Dutch Resistance, maybe these people are not remembered as they should be because their diaries were not found, or were destroyed by the Nazis in an effort to erase what they did
