what is it with people wanting to visit it (seriousaly please tell me) its just a house in my oppyan nothing that freeken great happend there a girl was in hideing im shure there were at least 10 other familys that probaly had the same idea now u cant call me a nazi because im jewish i just cant seem to reasion with my self why people pay to go see the nazi stupidity because they didnt think hey douse this house have a attic if anne frank picked up a gun and did something she would deserve it but for hideing i dont think so if i lived then i would of rather killed 1 nazi or even die trying because 1 being dead is better than being in a camp and 2 even if you kill 1 its one less so what im realy saying hear unless you have something to argue if you want to waist your money send it to me dont give it to some dude who baught the house for 1,000 bucks after the war

no i love history its the only subject i was ever good at but even so i dont see the historical value of hideing as for the spelling.... theres probaly braindamage behind that one lol but realy idk i think to fast and never think before i click post

So can you begin to imagine what it must have been like during the Nazi occupation of The Netherlands? Do you like cowering in your bedroom hiding from "the man"? I seriously doubt they enjoyed it during WWII either. Oppression is wrong regardless of the time and circumstances. You hide because of something you choose to do and that you could loose your freedom over. Anne Frank, family and friends had to hide because of who they were and that they could lose their life. They are all courageous heros in my book and when I go to the Anne Frank house, I pay tribute to the will to fight oppression. Peace.

i can imagine it but in my book u get points for fighting oppression not hideing but in the end she died any way and her life would of been worth more if she killed a few nazis AND I DONT COWER IN MY BEDROOM I DO THE VERY BEST I CAN TO GET OUT AND INFORM PEOPLE OF HOW BADLEY AMERICA FUCKS THEM IN HOPES THEY WILL OPENTHERE EYES BUT IF I WAS IN WW2 NETHERLANDS I WOULD OF PICKED UP A GUN AND DIED FOR WHAT I BLEIVE IN BECAUSE THATS HOW U GET SHIT DONE

there was a big and successful resistance in the Netherlands against the Nazi's, but she was only a little girl, doing what her father told her to, what he thought was in her best interest.

thats true but then why isnt the dutch restance rembered they should be heros im shure theres 100 of them with diarys why not rember them

i dont disagree, you are right, there should be memorials to the Dutch Resistance, maybe these people are not remembered as they should be because their diaries were not found, or were destroyed by the Nazis in an effort to erase what they did
