I tried the blue cheese at Bluebird last sept - I had it the other way round - Very smelly and very tasty, but not that potent.

It was very nice though.

I had the Bleu Cheese at Bluebirds (Honest, I'm sure it was spelt like that!) last week, and I echo what Axeman said- plenty of taste, and VERY smelly.
A nice smoke.

Barneys cheese ( for me anyway) was massively over-preiced. Obviously was better than UK weed, well most of it. It tasted really good and had a ok smell in the bag, but stone was lacking ALOT.

Heard Grey Areas th place to head for good cheese?!

In December last year I found the Cheese at Katsu & HGF to be the best.

HGF will be closing permanently on 31 March 2009. To make a long story short, the lease of the space that HGF is in, will not be renewed by the landlord. He no longer wants a coffeeshop there. Really sad news as I really like HGF. They have and have had some really nice organically grown herb. A really nice shop that will truly be missed. One Love.

That really sucks about HGF, I always try and visit a couple of times on every trip as I like the atmosphere, smoke and attitude of the staff. And the cheese is really one the best smokes I remember having in Amsterdam...certainly lived up to the hype when I tried it.

Still, I hope to make at least 2 more trips before they shut up shop...but will be a sad day when it finally happens.

Uch, really sux about HGF, looks like im not going to have a chance to get back before they close. i know there are strict rules on c/s for everything, but not being able to relocate in a situation like this really sux, its unfair to the owner and all of us, its not like hes opening a new shop!
