Buying Volcano Vaporizer

Post by DR »

Few months ago the price dropped from 498 to 398 euros a very nice dropdown so I decided to buy it in next days.

Here is the pricelist (from July 2005):

0100 VolcanoSystem (Complete-Set) 398.00 €
0102 Valve-Set 139.00 €
0200 Valve 59.00 €
0300 Filling chamber for herbs 49.00 €
0310 Normal screen-set 7.40 €
0311 Fine screen-set 7.90 €
0320 Filling chamber insert 9.20 €
0330 Filling chamber for liquids 49.00 €
0334 Liquid pads-set 5.10 €
0400 Mouth piece 25.00 €
0503 Ballonhose-set 3x3 m 8.80 €
0516 Ballonhose-set 16x3 m 44.00 €

I have a question for Volcano owners:
Which are the most common used spare parts besides Ballonhose-set?
I'm thinking to order those spare parts together with Volcano, thanks.

I've only had mine for a few months and the only thingi've replaced so far is the screens. I would like to pick up another mouthpiece, but not really necessary. The rest of the parts seem real solid so you shouldn't need new ones for quite awhile. If you have access to honey oil/hash oil you might wanna get a couple of the "0334 Liquid pads-set 5.10 € " i've heard mixed things about those but never tried them myself.

Where did you find all this info? I've never heard of the "0330 Filling chamber for liquids 49.00 € " and i'm curious what these are exactly--> "0503 Ballonhose-set 3x3 m 8.80 €, 0516 Ballonhose-set 16x3 m 44.00 €"

You will love it man.

Mazdog: How often do you replace the baloon-bag? With your Volcano came a normal screen set, I'm asking you if is that set o.k. or it should be finest?
Thanks.

What is the minimum quantity that can be vaped?
I found somewhere that you have to cover the screen at minimum with 1mm of herb is that true?
Is it possible to vape for shorter time to get somehow a mellow high?
Thanks.

it says in the manual to always at least cover the screen with 1mm of herb...which isn't very much at all.

and you can just shut off the fan at any point so you don't have to fill the bag everytime.

you can also vape at a lower temp to get less vape.

Buying a Volcano

Post by Rob_OG »

Hi all,

I haven't posted in a while; ain't been to the Dam since December, when I had my first vapes. And missed Szyslack. My apologies again, sir. Just missed you through my own stupid fault. Maybe next time.

Been lurking on the site, drinking too much and working. PCs all day. And some scuba diving.
Smoking at weekends, but unable to join the Birthday Party or get over the sea at all.

Not much to say for a while, as I haven't got round to writing up the last trip to the Dam for fear I'll jack in my job and spend the summer at Vliegenbos, like when I was 23.

Hej hej, as they say. I've been missing Amsterdam so badly, I could risk it all at a moment's notice and do something unwise.

A friend is doing the Marathon there soon, and wants me to come along and show him the place. I've done a couple of Amsterdam marathons, but none involved running (ha, ha, ha, poor joke - apologies), and I don't think I'd be the kind of rosy-cheeked fresh-faced outdoorsy company he needs.

I don't want to spread my Amsterdam-grieving gloom around the boards - I'm generally very content, but I'd be more content after a breath of Dutch air. I keep wanting to flame the post-Birthday Party threads with jealous rants. You lucky, lucky, people. Four months back in Blighty and I'm ready for a two-weeker. But you don't need to hear that, and in any event, I digress.

I have joyous news.

I have to tell everyone - I JUST BOUGHT A VOLCANO!!!

Yes - Amsterdam has come to me, sort of. I've got some weed that's a good match for any decent mid-grade skunk. Think 6 Euros a gram.

And a Volcano.

Hence joing this thread. Although I'd like to put this on the announcements pages. Or upcoming trips (sorry, another lame joke, but I'm here on my own, girlfriend home at 11, lame jokes are the order of the day). But this feels "on-topic" on the thread Buying Volcano Vaporizer.

It's sitting here on the floor. Plugged in, but as yet unloaded.

Yay! Sorry if I seem to be engaging in unseemly boasting, but it's not every day you become the owner of a three-hundred-quid mini-fan-heater for your herb. So I'm boasting.

There isn't a suitable emoticon on the left.

I might change my signature soon, once I quit the baccy, which I might have a chance of doing now. I'm going to try.

Commercial plug - I got it from Everyone does it, here in West London.
£316.97 to my door in 24 hours with spare bags - so 2 rolls in total - plus a bag already fitted to the chamber, spare fine screens along with the included spare screens and a free mag & DVD (a surprise gift).
Top service, and my warmest recommendation.

Must go. Herb to grind. May come back online later. But I'd probably buy the liquid chamber for my new Volcano.

It looks so good. I want to buy it things.

Thanks for listening,

Cheers,

Rob

 enjoy your new toy. It sounds wonderful. As do your memories of Amsterdam. Hey, you don't have to spend a summer there, hop over on the eurostar or a cheap flight for a long weekend. Get away from those PCs, they suck you in, just like the baccy does. Let the herb set you free every once in a while.

Hice one Rob, you won't regret it but I guess you already know that by now :D

Awesome tool, just be sure to keep it clean (surgical spirit and an old toothbrush works wonders) as soon as it begins to taste a little like an old ashtray then swap the bags and clean the metal components. takes 5 mins to clean and it's surprising the difference it makes. Maybe I shouldn't have waited 3 months before cleaning mine but you know what its like

Enjoy!!

Nice one Rob, you won't be disappointed. The best thing I like about it, is just tasting the herb, nothing else. Enjoy!! Let us know how you like it. AzLaker 8)

OK all you experienced Vapo heads...

Apart from the well documented taste, how different is the high compared to piping or jointing your bud ?

Vaping seems to be a much heavier body high. Then I only get off the couch if absolutely necessary.
Sometimes my lungs feel "inflated" after I have a serious vap session, peep on the pipe and it goes away. Shrugs
Pack the pipe and keep it movin' down the line
