So far I have received a ton of great information from this form and I thank you all!

I will be coming in about 17 days from Puerto Rico (U.S. Territory) and I was wondering the best way to change my US dollars into EURO and get the best exchange rate. I plan to spend about 400 euro on bud/food/shopping over the three day trip and have read many different things online as to the places to exchange currency. Any suggestions would be great.

I speak good English and Spanish (doubt the Spanish will be necessary), but would like to know any key Dutch phrases to practice before coming if you all have any suggestions.

ive always used the money changer right on the Damrak where its starts, right off Dam square, but its been 4 years since ive been there

Use Lorenz. No fees, best deal. On Damrak a block south of Centraal Station.

First you should check with your bank to see if the what the fee's are for using your A.T.M. That might get you the best rate. If you don't want to use the atm, then Johnny J is right. The Lorentz currency exchange is just about a block from central station.It is located right next to the Dam Hotel.

Al-stu-bleif....that's always good to use, means 'thank you very much', however I'm sure someone here will correct me if I have it wrong and I don't think the Dutch will mind too much if you don't speak a mangled version of their language as most Dutch peeps I've known over the years will speak better engels than you ever will
