Finally made it to the Nes. Been 3 or 4 times during my trip and always had a good time. Great beer at decent prices. DC really is a cool guy, he even rolled a joint for me. Thanks again mate, I forgot to tell you right away but it was pretty much like weed from home (in a good way that is). Also had the chance to meet Balou (briefly) - very relaxed and friendly guy, was my first impression. Would be nice to have a longer chat next time. Also cheers to steve for inviting me on the t&t. Wish I could have made it but I took way too long with packing and bringing my suitcase to the station locker.

The Nes is my new favourite smoker friendly bar.

I just dont get how some miss the street this in on when they look for the place I really dont!. Unless the opening hours is the issue, 4pm by the way as you may well miss the place if closed up before that hour as I once did as it can look like a long closed up place at times.

Visited late in the night. Entered and exited.
I had read great things about this place, but once there no good vibes.
The staff was quite grumpy but I just wanted to buy something to roll fast and continue walk, so I said goodbye and went away.

I misunderstood, I thought it was.
Any case if u have a bar in the centre of Dam full of people who smoke joints, sooner or later someone comes in to buy good stuff, I think... Burtender instead of grunting could explain me the situation: afterall I had full bag and dry throat, maybe I would have remained!

If you asked to buy weed there, you asked them to majorly break the law. They probably thought you were a cop.
