AK47 family tree

Post by keeror »

Does anyone know which strains were cross bred to create AK47?

The best info I can find says it's 65% sativa & 35% indica, and that the sativa could be any or all of Colombian, Brazilian or Thai and the indica is Afghani.

Thanks in advance.

I've tried to find this out myself before but i imagine the original breeders don't want to tell as they so often do.

Serious Seeds version (which I think is the original) is: Colombian X Mexican X Thai X Afghani

Edit: Fucking hell, thats one hell of a bump off USBL.

Ditto Boner.
From http://www.onlinepot.org/grow/800straingentics.htm AK-47 (Serious) Colombian X Mexican X Thai X Afghani

All of 30 seconds to find the site. Goes without saying...

Love the bump, USBL. Lovely picture.

Love AK-47. Still a favorite of mine.

Panog, I've yet to try a good example of white russian, but that does sound good. And, for me it never hurts to add some extra indica to the mix.

I was bummed on my last trip, everywhere was haze haze haze and a lot of the classics were really in short supply.

LOL IMO it rarely hurt to cross something with ww (if you except the Jack widow of course :))
Try Dampkring White russian, the one from Central was good also (it was 2 year's ago LOL so you'd better have a smell before buying it ^^)

Pretty sure I read there have been some recent nice batches from Boerjongens if I remember correctly from my early-April trip. Guessing its one of their regulars?
