Random Question - Taking Photographs

I think I read somewhere that it's a no no to take photographs inside coffeeshops in Amsterdam. Is that true?

i just asked that in the coffee shop section as u should of asked this there and the ancer is if theres a sign no but u shoudl ask

Just be sure to ask first. I have found that most of the time you will be told it is fine.

I've had people ask if I mind being in the corner of their photo, and I have no probs with it.... but imagine if you work for an American Bank..... You dont want a photo of you chuffing away on a joint in a coffeeshop all over the internet...

Just be courteous to those around you is the main point...
I am one of those people Ash is talking about, you take my picture in a coffeeshop I will probably take your camera.

I'm an amature photographer and I've gotten used to blurring out faces. If I take any shots in public areas I have to blur any recognizable faces before I can sell that picture for profit (or get a signed release from the person who's face it is).
However, I'll have to communicate that point BEFORE I start shooting lol.
