Everything I've read confirms it, I believe Dampkring got caught with some under 18's in the shop so they lifted the age to 21.

Cheers mate, looks like ill be taking a trip to Rokerij when im there.

Ill probably go to Dampkring and Tweede Kamer anyway and see how my luck is. The 21+ must be there own policy so i dont think i could be putting there licence at risk being in there when im 20 will be 21 2 weeks after i go aswell... What a kick in the balls!

Oh yeah! Just wondering if this means that Pink Floyds is 21+ seeing that its owned by Dampkring?

But thats a coffeeshop rule, correct? So if someone who was for instance, 20 years old, was caught in there smoking, they would not cause a legal problem for the owner. Right?

There has been a minimum age of 21 for some time now at the Dampkring chain of coffeeshops.

About a year or so ago a group of young people were caught smoking cannabis in public. A 14 year old in this group said his 18 year old friend had bought the cannabis at Dampkring. Soon after that the 21 age sign appeared. It's not due to Dutch law so the coffeeshop dealer might have the final say over sales to 18-20 year olds.

I was at TK in April 2007 and there was the OVER 21 sign up. I believe it had just gone up recently.

If the staff have been told no exceptions, then unless the owner is present in the shop it will probably be a very strict rule I feel!.

But I'd certainly say no legal issues as I doubt in order for a licence renewal arrising from underage issues that the 21 rule would be part of there licence aggrement to stay open would it?.
