I go to Amsterdam next weekend. I smoke at the weekends and I dont want to feel bad if I am like new person in the coffee shop. I make joints at the home but I want to use vapor. I am looking at the map of shops, the Rusland shop look quiet and place with no tourist. Is this true? I also want to buy seeds to grow for me at home. I think I must first smoke many kinds and then buy the one I like. Good idea? Do Rusland sell seeds? I don't want to go to places with many people while Im a new smoker and I dont want people to make jokes at me. But I love smoking when I can and I really want to start growing and smoking atg home!

Please can you tell me a good place for new people and place to get good seeds? I like to smoke then make paintings. So I like to have weed for this kind of things.

Sorry my English is no perfect but I am learning! I love to try English!

There wont be any shop where people will laugh at you! Still there are a few places I would recommend for coffeeshop beginners. Mellow Yellow has very friendly dealers, which will help you and it is never crowded.
Rusland definitely is a good place for you. When we went there, we were alone and it was in the middle of the day. But I doubt you will be able to paint in there as it is more of a dark shop. The dealers there are very friendly.
In both shops they have a Vaporizer you can use for free.

As mentioned, there wont be a shop where you will be laughed at. But there could be a few shops where the dealer could lose its nerves on a newbie.......Grey area has very friendly staff as well who will help you out :)

I recall my first trip, I simply tried to blag (lie about my inexperience) my way when in my first ever coffeeshop!. God that brings back some memories.

Your best bet is to choose a coffeeshop that is fairly empty and there is not really any que to see the dealer. This is nothing to do with your in-experiance of visiting Amsterdam but more to the time they dont mind spending with you explaining about various matters, smoking methods & strains and the effect they will have on you etc.

As if they are busy then many questions may mean loss of sales and the dealer may then sound rude to you if a que starts to build up behind you.

But the majority of places are fine to explain the finer matters to you que or no que. And you will certainly not get laughed at or anything like that, so no worries there as they get first timers pretty much every day of the week I guess!.

A bit of advice though, the smokes will most likely feel very different to what you might get back home, often stronger or just different. You MAY suffer from what is refered to as a "whitey" (prob spelt wrong). But in case you start to feel a little dizzy, sick or anything like that have a cola and or chocolate bar to hand and start to take it as soon as you start to feel bad.

A good first stop might be Picasso. It is a boutique shop with a very patient and personable budtender and a smaller menu that makes your first smoke decision easier. The budtender will show you everything, explain it and make a solid recommendation--probably with a good story along the way. The smoke is always of decent quality if not necessarily exotic. Their pre-rolleds are pretty solid too if you wanna try something really easy.

The clientele there is pretty laid back with a decent mix of friendly locals and other tourists. We had no problem chatting up folks around us and getting "assistance" in rolling those beautiful baseball bat shaped Js (pure for us tho).

edited for seed comment--

We stopped in Homegrown Fantaseeds to drool over the seed selection. Should stop in there to browse, they had quite a selection.

Yes I think I can smoke the pot which seeds I can buy. I am looking at carmelicious seed and to try to smoke it first. It cost much but easy to grow? I can smoke carmelicious at coffee shops too or no?

Not sure about that strain...

Here is a link to a company in Amsterdam with several locations...where you can browse on the web.

Looks like the Homegrown Fantaseeds site is either blocked for me or no longer up.

Notice on the ACD map that the grow shops are listed for you to find.

I have never seen or heard of this strain in an Amsterdam coffeeshop. There are literally thousands and thousands of cannabis strains; seeds are available for some strains the coffeeshops stock, others are not. Some seeds are available, for other strains, but coffeeshops do not have it available to smoke. There are many factors to consider when choosing a strain to grow. Choose one that best matches your needs and wants, in all areas. Peace.
