May 9th thru May 12 Day 1

Post by Saynt »

Well before I arrived in Amsterdam I was planning to have a kick ass report to report back to everyone. I was stoked to arrive in Amsterdam on that morning of May 9th. After 24 hours of travelling we arrive at 1030 AM that morning. We get to Central Station around 1130 I guess. On the way to the hostel I lose my friends as I step on a Tram to ask the conductor if this was the correct tram to be on to get to Leidsplein. He said yes I bought my ticket and tram starts to leave. Little did I know my friends did not follow me on the tram. Well I wave to them from the inside of the tram and I am off to Leidslpein. Well I figured they would just catch the next tram. Cause I was the one who had the only address to the hostel. Well I get a Heineken at one of the outdoor cafes in the square. The heineken I must say does really tastye better in Holland. Well 30 minutes later my friends still have not shown up. I am getting pissed cause I am ready to get to my first coffee shop being it my virgin trip to Amsterdam. So I decide to start to head to the hostel figuring they would make it there.

After walking through Leidslpein to get to my hostel I arrive to find out my friends have already made it to the hostel and have been there for like 45 minutes before I show up(They took a taxi to the hostel once they saw me leave on the tram). Well I needed to take a shower and then we were off to my first coffee shop.

Taking out my handy Amsterdam Coffee Shop Directory Map (Best Map out there for coffee shop hopping) I saw that Rookies was the closest coffee shop to us that I had read some good things about. We get in there and got a gram of Laughing Buddah. Me and my friend sat at the back of the bar. Saw they had a volcano asked the budtender to step it up for us since it was our first time doing a vapo. He walked it us through it and then we had a bag of vapo passing between us. Vapo was ok but not what I thought it would be. We decided to roll the rest of the Laughing Buddah into a pure joint. We spark up and enjoy a good smoke. It had me and my homeboy blown. But not a heavy stone. Had a euphoric feel and a good head high. Maybe it was all the excitement of being my first spliff in Amsterdam but I really enjoyed that first smoke. Like I said earlier I had planned to take lots of pic of different strains and good menu pics and stuuf like that. But after the first couple of pics I took before I blazed, the camera was the farthest thing from my mind. Well we leave there and do something(My memory get fuzzy starting here). I was suppose to meet kev and bishy at Abraxas at 1830 and there was some other shops I wanted to stop at before meeting up with them. We head to Noon to check out their menu. We saw they had some blueberry haze and picked up a gram of that. We dont smoke there and we start off on foot walking towards Abraxas.(Memory really got hazy from here on out).

We stop at Dampkring on the way to pick up some goodies from there. I believe I got some cheese and my homeboy got something else. Well now we are ready to get to Abraxas. We finally ge there to find the pack out shop. We got some seats on the outside and I pulled out the cheese and loaded the pipe. Me and my homie finish that bowl and Bishy walks up. He had brought a crowd with him. I packed up a bowl of Blueberry Haze and I believe he had some bubble gum with him. We sat there passes the buds around. Never got up with kev but I am sure he had a good time somewhere. Now I am WAYYY blitz. Have to look at some more pics to remember what I did from here on out...........to be continued.

Nice report. Looking forward to reading about more of your adventure. And we are all familiar with the part about making plans and trying to keep to them. So next time I won't even bother making plans,I am never able to stick to them anyway. And as for the ACD map, you're right. It has proven to be very handy.
