Hi all,
im scott, 25 from south bucks (just outside west london), england.
my interests in life are simple. music, chelsea fc, and smoking culture. im hugley passionate about all three. my music tastes, are born from mid 90's rave music in general, but lately have been all about dub, and roots reggae.
ive used this website for years and years now, but have only just decided to join the message board. its helped me be pretty nerdy for a'dam trips. every time we go, i like to make a few page booklet, with checklists on all the smokes and places to try each time. this website, and a few others have been an invaluable part of learning which new crops are ready and where to get them, so we can plan our trip.
when my friends and i turned 18, we headed straight over to a'dam, and caught the buzz of trying to visit every coffeeshop, and try as many strains as humanly possible. we used to have a check list which was litterally 3 A4 pages long for all the smokes we'd had. this trainspotting like frenzy which we had, lasted for a good few years, and ive ended up knowing amsterdam better than parts of london. My pace has slowed from those days, and combined with my wonderfull girlfriend, my trips nowadays are at a much smoother pace. together we have found our favourite places, and strains and now we look forward to visiting 'our coffeeshops' and other special places.
my next trip over to the 'dam is beginning of july as we'rer going to see massive attack in concert, which is 3 days after the smoking ban. im worried about its effect on coffeeshop culture, but im also excited to see what will be done about it by the shop owners too. i guess im just a glass half full type of person.
im probably not gonna be the most prolific poster on here, but ill keep popping in as i have done before to see whats happeneing.... keep fighting for the right!
