From a personal point of view...i think the smoking ban can be a good thing.....it's been here a while now and i think if anything...going out on a night in London now is better ...well on a sunny day anyway as the whole contents of the pub seem to be on the street.
And yep...i do smoke...

us lot are out there on the 3rd july. 3 days after the ban kicks in.
in a strange way, im quite excited. its kind of a new era. sure it means the casual toking away with a pint at the bar is no longer a possibility, but outdoor spaces will be utilised better and other new arrangements will be made.
using smoking mix instead of baccy is something i said id start doing a few years back, when i first came accross it in a coffeeshop in the RL dsitrict. and i have a feeling this will be the catalyst to make me do that. even at home. so much cheaper. and better in many ways.
My only concern is we may loose some shops. either they turn to bars, or just fold.
---------------------------
can anyone on here shed any light on how they've seen/heard of some shops will be coping with the ban? cheers.
