Anne Frank Birthday

I see that on June 12th it will be the 79th birthday of Anne Frank. If you are in Amsterdam I would think it well worth your time to drop by the museum,learn a thing or two and pay your respects to an amazing human being. Also one other thing, I noticed in her diary this entry

"That night I really thought I was going to die. I waited for the police and I was ready for death, like a soldier on a battlefield. I'd gladly have given my life for my country. But now, now that I have been spared, my first wish after the war is to become a Dutch citizen. I love the Dutch. I love this country, I love the language, and I want to work here. And even if I have to write to the queen herself, I won’t give up until I've reach my goal!"

Now I know that is is far too late to prod your government into making this happen this year. But if enough Netherlands citizen's were to rally and petition the power's that be, it could be a real possibility to make her greatest wish happen for her 80th birthday next year.

Dude I dont mean to sound like an ass but how about forget Anne, shes been dead for a very long time and instead let someone who really need a stay, stay.

Annes life was a tragic blablabla but thing is there are people right now that need our help.
I really don´t see why the Dutch Goverment should make a dead person a dutch citizen.

I know I really sound like an ass but sometimes I think people should drop their historic books and concentrate on the shit that is happening right now.
I mean just watch the news and I bet you can find hundreds of Annes, though no one seems to care about "their diary"
