These two are some of my recent favorites. I've tried them where I live, but Gollem has them if you're in the Dam.

When in A*dam my two favorites are Grolsch and Gulpener. Heineken, Amstel and the other locals I tried have a bitter taste I don't find appealing.
A little rebellion now and then is a good thing.

Luckily enough there is a local liquor store where the owner is really into Belgian beer. I did drink plenty of Hoegarden as well. Good stuff, but can't get that one here, I have to go to Denver.

Yeah they have done in the past, thinking about it try the Maredsous 10 as well if they or someone else have it.

My favourite bar is De Wildeman, it's only a stones throw from 420 so the 2 can be visited after each other.

I really enjoyed the Gulpener at Nes. I am not much or a drinker but it was very enjoyable.

Right Jupiler, forgot that one. Corsendonk is another I've tried that is tasty. I had a Heiny wit which was alright at Paradiso. I had a Blanche de Brugges in Paris which was tasty. I didn't feel much like drinking wine in Paris, I went for the wit biers. Actually I drank less on this last trip I took than previous trips. I could really notice the subtle differences in the weeds more. I still liked to reward myself with a malt beverage though.

I'm not a fan of regular Grolsch but during my May trip the Albert Heijn stores were carrying Grolsch Lente Bok which was gorgeous, I put a few bottles in my suitcase to enjoy when I got home (which I did).

Talking of beer, my wife picked up 4 bottles of this for me today:

For your upcoming trip, or you gonna drink those in Texas? I must confess the Duchesse is somewhere between wine and beer. It's one of my favorites, but not a regular "go to" beer. It's red, a little sweet and very full bodied. Just like a good duchess should be
