It out sells its nearest rival 3 to 1 over here in the UK. Its 5.2%. But 6 cans of that does a lot more than 6 cans of anything else of that strength. Its a regular Lager but it has a tendencey to make people loud and boistrous. kinda like... AAAAAARRGH!! and GRRRR!! I drink it every day

Im sure other uk lager drinkers would agree

Its also known as "wreck the hoose (house) juice!"

Fuck the Stella, all it'll do is make you need a piss every 5 mins, go for quality not quantity.

I like Stella. I don't think I ever tried it until I got to the U.K., the shit was everywhere.

I have always known Stella to be called "battery acid" due to the odd taste, but recently I found a way of being able to drink it a lot more easy.....neck as much of the first can as possible in one mouthful then the palette seems to be able to cope with the taste easier! Just my way of doing it anyway, something I learned at uni....haha.

Hey Rob, here is one to try from the States. Great beer, and you should be able to find this one. Brewed in the city that has Colorado's first pot dispensary. Image

I tend to simply ask in any given bar I visit in Amsterdam what local brew they stock!. Not only does it tend to be cheaper the vast majority of the time. But it also gives me the chance to try something you'll almost certainly never get back home. So a win win situation really I feel.

I rather like a local brew called Domelsch (possably spelt wrong). Kind of like Bud in my opinion!.

But when I go to Amsterdam this year I'll prob get 4 cans of Stella or something to start the night off with while I'm getting ready!.

So you ask for local brews yet drink that Belgium piss that they obviously make for everyone outside of Belgium? great logic that.

It's mainly in bars I'll ask for local brews. But for reasons I dont fully understand myself, if drinking while getting ready to go out I tend to stick to what I know.

But in saying that you will NEVER see me drinking the likes of Stella, Bud or other well known non-Dutch brand in a bar in Amsterdam, never ever!.

Dave get yourself to a Albert Heijn and buy a few bottles of local beers, be it Dutch or Belgium, in May I was drinking a lot of Grolsch's Lente Bok 6.5%abv and gorgeous, AH have loads of differant brands Stella not being one of them.

I want to know what everyone has against stella. Its alright. I dont even like any "Fruity" or "cloudy" beers they all taste like flowers and piss IMO. For fucks sake if you dont like stella then dont drink the stuff - simple! 8)
