about the tobbaco ban...

i dont mind it that much becouse in Adam i smoke weed and i smoke it pure but how the hell r people who like 2 get really wasted on hash supposed 2 do it without tobbaco? they have to mix the hash with something dont they. it is an issue for me because next time in Adam i would like to smoke some strong hash before i go to sleep to help me sleep so how am i supposed to do it except for spreading it in a volcano vaporizer?

A glass pipe works great for me with pure hash.

I always smoke my hash in a joint with weed, about 90% of my joints in Holland are a mix of both. I usually have a tiny bit of tobacco aswell in my joint, but it would work without it

i didnt know u could smoke hash pure i've allways smoked it with tobbaco. i allways smoked weed pure. problem is that hash melts when it is heated before it burns, so it will just drop into the water of the bong wouldnt it?

I use a screen in my pipe and it works fine smoking hash pure. Been smoking hash that way for 38 years.

I think what I'll possably be doing (unless the situation is cleared up by my trip) is buy my hash in 1 shop and go roll and mix it with tobacco in another. It's been said by many people that there seems to be no setup in coffeeshops to check what a person actually has put in there joint that they have mixed with something.

I can see it now, "have you mixed tobacco with that hash\weed joint?" "no owner\employee it's a non tobacco alternative" "ok enjoy your tobacco free alternative mixed joint".

For this situation is certainly going to become common place as there seems unlikely to be a way from looking at it to know for certain if a person has mixed hash or weed with tobacco or a tobacco free alternative without going to the vast expense of having a chemical analysis done on each any every joint they suspect of having tobacco in. And that would seem the only way for sure for even the police to know if a personhas mixed any level of tobacco in there joint.

Law or no law, how the hell are they going to be able to tell?.

I have never smoked tobacco my whole life and love trying different strains of hash in Amsterdam.

The only way I smoke it is in a pipe, and agree glass ones are the best for pure hash. As itsmymagicallife mentioned, just buy a pack of strong metal screens in any head shop for a couple of euro and they should easily last several grams of heavy hash smoking. Not that I can really compare smoking it in a joint as I never really have, but I always finds the taste and flavour of the hash through a glass pipe is very obvious to myself.

I recall I have in fact done both hash and weed pure in a pipe on a previous trip, just 1 of those cheap €5 wooden pipe things as I recall.

With the weed it was kind of strange but pure. In any case it was a lot stronger a taste but not effect for me, probably due to the lesser amount you of cause put in those small pipes lol. Cant really say if I liked or diss-liked it!. It was certainly a lot heavier on the lungs and left to strong an after taste in the back of the lungs for me (more to having never smoked weed that way I guess) and I decided to stick to the joint after that for the best part.

But the hash was not nice at all for me in a pipe, way to hot on the lungs and the taste was down right horrable. A kind of heated burning feeling with a slightly burnt fairy cake like flavour.

So a pipe does nothing for me but feel I'll give it another go with a better pipe this year to see how I cope.

As I recall 1 of the other lads at the time done pretty well with his better pipe. He easily took a good several drags just like that in a row and did seem to enjoy his experience of pipe smoking. But do recall him and another m8 having to clean there pipes a lot during the trip.

I think we all came to the conclusion that we prefered to smoke a joint but a pipe was good for a quick hit in between joints!.

thanx a lot dave j. if a pipe is too harsh on your lungs you should try a bong, thats the only thing i smoke because i cant roll a decent joint. a bong cools down the smoke as it passes through water so its easier on the lungs

I've never smoked tobacco with or without weed (except for two occasions when I was passed a spliff, having been told it was pure, and ended up coughing up half a lung) - I really don't like the tobacco, so the ban isn't going to worry me one little bit...

I can tolerate someone smoking a mixed bifta closeby, so long as there's plenty of weed to mask the odour, but if I'm in a group and someone sparks up a normal cigarette - yak.

I learned to roll neat joints pretty quickly, and sometimes when my fingers stop working properly, I will revert to the old bong, but I will soon be investing in my very own Volcano - this should cut down on the smoke and dust quite considerably!

It's gonna be real hard for the Coffeeshop staff to keep on top of the mixed spliff thing, but I think so long as the public abide by the 'No Tobacco' (i.e. No Cigarette) rule, then it should keep the law happy.

I'm not heading back over again til the early part of September now, (then again in Oct) so it will be interesting to see how things are running...

I would reccomend investing in a volcano vaporizer. The high is much different, more euphoric as compared to knock me down and make me stupid. The high is also especially good if you are going to be doing some physical work.

nothing i love more than making a 'salad' of some fine bud mixed with yummy, sticky hash.....trying different combos for the ultimate buzz is certainly one of my favorite amsterdam adventures......love the barney rubble-amnesia haze combo....how about the caramello-bubblegum combo....the matches are endless......2 weeks and counting....
