i really dont wanna be dragged into a debate as i can sense where it would gomatty wrote:2 - I'd go to an independent coffeeshop instead - and thats if marijuana was legalised in The West Midlands!
in what way is bulldog not idependant?
is it because it has been succesfull enough to open a couple more shops? by that logic you dont like barneys, rokerij, green house, kadinsky, abraxas etc etc....
in fact your sugestion, stones café. who ever own that place owns a separate coffeshop and a bar (at least) under the same name. thats a chain isnt it?
(dont get me wrong im not a big bulldog lover. maily coz of the stag do type crowds it attracts, but i do like the Bulldog palace if im in a beer mood)
no offence inteded either mate, just confused by your comment.
What if it was the only coffeeshop in Amsterdam/West Mids/The World?matty wrote:No on 2 counts:So you wouldn't go if it was in your town?
1 - I don't smoke at home anyway

Being pedantic and knobbish since 1972
Fair points - i'm just not a fan of the Bulldog - the weed quality is poor, everythings overpriced and they are very commercialised and impersonal. Just my personal taste i guess but i prefer coffeeshops like Stix, MY etc. Of your list Greenhouse and Kadinsky are fine so maybe its more a personal taste thing - i also dislike Grasshopper, LaCanna and Smokeys for similar reasons - just don't seem very 'authentic' - its almost like their designed for ripping off the tourists who don't know any betterCHELSEA_SMOKERS_SOCIETY wrote:i really dont wanna be dragged into a debate as i can sense where it would gomatty wrote:2 - I'd go to an independent coffeeshop instead - and thats if marijuana was legalised in The West Midlands!....but
