Who Opens Earliest?

Post by schwag »

Hi.

I apologize if this is a repeat subject.

I heard that Barney's no longer does Breakfast so I have nowhere to score as soon as I get into town.

Is Barney's still open for breakfast and if not, which coffeeshop is open the earliest?

All the flights from Toronto get in at like 6-7am and I can't wait 3 hours for bud.

Thanks

Barneys still do brekfast but in their bar across the street to the coffeeshop. buy weed there, and smoke either in the coffeeshop (just drinks) or in the uptown.

Yep, both the coffeeshop and the bar bit (called uptown) are open at the usual time. the breakfast may have moved 5 meters down the road, but its still the same. mmmmm.

also, rasta baby is open at 8am. its always open (opening) as we walk past on the way to barneys having arrived on the early flight.

i hear many stories about barneys and there shitty breakfast, and i must say i totally disagree.

On my past 3 trips to amsterdam i have stopped into barneys for breakfast at least twice on each trip.. and every time the food was great, i always got the full irish breakfast or whatever.. eggs cooked well and the hash brown is good, and i like the beans too.. not bad. mrs cheese got the pancakes(crepes) with fruit and they werent bad either, even had canadian maple syrup. the fresh juice is good to.. i guess its a bit overpriced but i dont mind sitting and smoking a nice joint while waiting for breaky and then smoking one right after while enjoying a tea or coffee.

i have also had the pita toastie with ham and cheese from the barneys lounge.. very tastY!! i had this almost daily on my last trip as my apartment was very close by. also i really liked the caramello hash for a nice lift.

and back onto the subject,.. yes the coffeeshop is still open at 7 AM and so are many others on that street. my recomendation would be to check out barneys... others may disagree.

Yeah, I've done Barney's a few times. Great place to fill up, toke up and relax after a long flight. Then head on down to Dampkring for 10.
For some reason I thought it was the only one opened early.
This info if great.
Thanks everyone.

I like Central coffeeshop as a first stop off on an early flight as it has a nice well lit cafe feel to it. The Coin also opens at 7am but is a little darker in atmosphere so may only appeal to certain people...although of the 2 I would say the nicer weed has been from The Coin in my experience.

Yep the coffeeshop license gives them the hours they can open between, pretty sure it's 7am to midnight (could be 11pm) and 1am at weekends?
