i know this may have been covered already... but what about the big commercial names.
im sure greenhouse has at least one of there shops with a smoking room in it.... also the bulldog. im sure the shop in the leidseplein would be able to have a smoking room... even the grasshopper.. i havent been myself, but im sure i read u can smoke down in the basement part of the big one.
has no one even passed by any of these to confirm if they have smoking rooms?? i know they are all commercial and some even cheesy.. but they may be good for big groups or even just to have on the list.
cheers and sorry if this has been discussed, i just read the first page or so and have to split and i thought i would ask anyway

That's a good idea but it would be a long list. And I know of at least one coffeeshop with outside seating that doesn't allow cannabis smoking and another that doesn't allow joint rolling outside but you can smoke cannabis.U-Roy wrote:I think there should be also a list of CS with terrace/sitting outside
i remember a story a dutch guy told me in a coffeeshop, where he said that years ago the cops were troubling people for smoking joints in the street, so to make the cops back off a whole bunch, like 200+ people smoked loads of roll up ciggs looking like joints to confuse the police... he didnt say how long they did it for
No Victim? No Crime.
Dealing crack openly in the streets seems to confuse the police here.
New rules for smoking in Amsterdam:
1. If asked the question "Is there tobacco in your joint?"....ALWAYS answer "NO".
2. If asked the question "Can I smell your joint?"..say "Yes". Then see answer to the question in rule number 1 for any further dialogue needed.
3. While in any bar/coffeeshop, should the music volume be turned down and an introduction be made between customers and smoke inspectors. Please assist the staff in booing those motherfuckers (Who I know are only doin their job....but still, I mean...c'mon t'fuk!. I'd rather be a tax collector) right off the premises. Dank je well.

The Dutch Spirit cack is for me too dry to roll in the correct manner...or maybe its just me being a think cnut but I just cant seem to get jiggy with it.
All the places I've been in allow one to now toke outsid ein the street where before the smoking ban it was rather frownd on to do this at most spots.
Tis a strange thing really but its Amsterdam so fits in with the ethos of the place really.

Nice work people.
I was there to see the Smoking Ban come into effect. July 1st was a real drag. I should have gone over to Suzi's Lounge. Spent most of the day in the Winston Hotel beer garden.
Please keep the updates comming.
First hand reports from the street are invaluable at this time.
