last visit in February this year, smoking was allowed only in combination with grass, but not all cs. You can buy a bag of "plant" flavor from cs, and smoke them anywhere you want

Are there any nightclubs in the dam that have a smoking area in them? I'm away on Thursday and my mates are wanting to head out somewhere on Saturday night. Any reccomendations?

Great list, how up to date is it?

Thanks

So can anyone tell me any of these places are no longer cool with smoking in the bar?

Reefer was the only shop we had to go up stairs to a sepatate smoking area for tobacco spliffs, was really dirty with full ashtrays, empty cans and bottles everywhere. this was in February this year. everywhere else there was no problem as long as you were discreet. i really worried about this before my first trip as there is no way i could smoke pure. well i could but you would be picking me off the floor  .less than 4 weeks to next trip :D

I doubt things have changed. Axeman stopped posting and he is the only one that can update this thread.

Peace

Just after some up to date info...
I like to smoke with tobacco, and enjoy a beer or two at the same time. Wife doesn't smoke and hates smoky atmospheres. Any recommendations for good smoker friendly bars with outdoor areas or uber ventilation?
Cheers in advance

Please add Cafe Remember to the list. It is a few doors down from Red Light Bar. It has a nice smoking area at the back of the bar.

Though we were staying there the greenhouse effect bar was a brilliant spot for a smoke and a drink, best prices for any bar of the Warmoesstraat i have been in. Good staff, the dutch dude that worked the mornings was a good laugh I laughed when a group of English dudes walked in and asked for weed and he pointed them next door he then complained of stoners in the bar to us while he was taking a toke of a j a mate gave him  and the girl from Wexford was great esp since we didn't get charged on the minibar as we left a pile of beer in the fridge.

Reviving this topic as it's quite old. Any changes in the list? Mostly interested in bars that allow smoking weed.

Smokers friendly bars that are very much worth a visit, and open unless something strange has happened over the last weeks:

Batavia! Best of them all, great food, great beer, awesome canal side smokers lounge and awesome staff!

Kashmir lounge down a little southwestyish. Nice chillaxed place a little out of the way.

Places we haven't visited in a while, heard of from others or are just so so include the waterhole at Leidseplein, soundgarden that has a smokers friendly terrace by the canal and the doors palace.
