I went to Siberie in the middle of July and there was indeed a little room in place of the first table on the right as you enter. In the webcam view it is at the top of the picture.

It is wood to waist-height and glass windows above that. The door is on the side.

I sat at the first table on the left as you enter. It was quite spooky. Every now and then I would just look up casually and there would be someone inside the room looking out. Eventually I didn't know where to look.

Can you smoke tobacco in the room?

That was my assumption, though I didn't ask and no one told me so.

That week I also went quite often to the Kashmir Lounge near Vondelpark. The coffeeshop across from the Kashmir Lounge bar (the original coffeeshop) was closed and in the middle of building works. The current temporary coffeeshop was next to the bar and consisted of only one very small room with a counter and an L-shaped benchseat and a few small tables.

Apparently, the building works are designed to cater for the new regulations, but I don't know the details of what is planned.

The smoke was as good as it normally is and the budtender as friendly as usual, so it was a pleasant place to stop at. Most of the business was people stopping to pick up their usual and then they were off home.

Was in Siberie last night and thought their smoking room was cute in a way, it had two tables and three chairs inside....haha.

Others I came across so far are; Rusland have a smoking room with a few tables and chairs in on the ground floor.
The Excalibur bar in the RLD has upstairs as the smoking rooms, and still has the 2 pool tables there also.

Still ok to smoke pure. Had a nice Heineken in there yesterday and watched some Olympics highlights with a few smokes.

Hi,

Just came back from Dam and here is the latest ( according to me ! :D )

It appears 90% of the coffeeshops display information regarding the smoking ban. They all advise that rolling Pure Joints either by grass or hash is allowed.

They also advise that joints rolled using tobacco must be smoked outside. You can roll whatever you want inside the coffeeshops but smoking any j's with tobacco must be outside

I must have been in 15 or so coffeeshops smoking j's and the only one that ever questioned what was in it was old church.

I was just discreet with my tobacco and did not leave the cigarette it on the table when i was rolling up.

I must have smoked in excess of 50 - 60 tobacco j's across all the shops and like i said , only once was i ever asked if any tobacco was in the J.

Its your call what you do.

Two more to add to the list:

Ben (although they insist you buy weed from them if you want to sit there)
Route 66 on Warmoesstraat (just been completely refurbished and now has a large, funky looking smoking room)

Very interesting read this 1 I think!. We could debate untill the end of time weather or not the coffeeshop staff\owners can smell any tobacco content in a joint. Or even if they have a legal duty under the new law to check each and every joint in the same way those smoking a joint may have a legal right not to have there joint and therefor propety destroyed under the assumption that there might be tobacco in it?.

Either way if you dont get your ciggy pack out and have your tobac in a grider ready why the hell would the coffeeshops give a real dam when they have almost certainly done what they can legally be expected to do to ensure you abide to the new smoking law?.

I may be clutching at straws here but there must be a practacle limit within the law on what the staff and owners can do to check what mixers are being used upto and excluding a situation of clear harrasement of a persons liberty?. Whilst inspectors MAY have a legal right to inspect a joint under the law, I very much fail to see that coffeeshop owners or staff have any legal right to or can insist on pulling apart a persons joint and that would alienate those going there?.

Jusy my thoughts and may well be totaly wrong of cause. Just that the law on whats been said here and elsewere seems to have failed to mention on the right of inspection of a joint beyond checking prior to someone rolling up and finall sealing the joint?.

Just remember both the coffeeshop owner and the person smoking tobacco can be fined if caught.

I noticed today actually they have a small handmade sign on display outside the shop saying that all joints must be 100% weed....haha.

No new ones to add from me though but hope to check out some new places tomorrow.

Bars that sell Alcohol, but allow tobacco or/and weed:

Winstons Hotstel/St Christopher's on Warmoestraat.

Always a favorite of mine, no non-smoking indoors but does have a terrace out the back for smoking. Tjhis is still one of the lively young places in centrum.

You can add Route 66 to the smoking room list also.

And Hunters Vodka Bar for selling alcohol but allows smoking pure inside.

No smoking any thing indoors at the Winston bar.

You are able to smoke cannabis or mixed joints at the outdoor seating at many cafes.
