Sensation White!

Some of you may remember i put a post on the Before Travel Plans forum. We had tried to get tickets for the Sensation White party at the Amsterdam Arena, but had missed out. In the end we had to pay £100 for them on ebay, when the original price was only €65. Well it turned out to be well worth the money. My 2 friends and myself had such a great time there. We met people who had travelled from Australia, Slovakia, Israel and Sweden, also just to go to Sensation. We stopped an talked and had a dance with a lot of dutch people who were just so friendly. Never seen a bit of trouble there which you would not see in Belfast, even with crowds a tenth of the size of Sensation. The event was so well organised. No queues at the bar, sellers of beer and vodka shots, along with water and even ice lollies, walked the main floor selling the products. Did not have to move all night except to go to the bar. Also got my pic taken with a lot of dutch guys (and beautiful women!) who had dressed up for the occasion. All were happy to pose with you for the photo. Now i have been into my dance music for a long time, and this is not what i usually go for. But this was a party, with a party atmosphere and party music. And i loved every minute of it. They put on a spactacular show with Lasers, water fountains and flames. Even when we left the place at 7am we were concerned about how we would get back to Dam Square, near to where we were staying. But when we came out the organisers had buses laid on, and we were back in 10 minutes or so.

Also went to the paradiso club 2 days before, as part of 5 days off, and heard a couple of good DJs there. Also was a great night out.

This was very different from my usual trip to Amsterdam. Actually spent very little times in the coffee shops and didnt actually smoke a lot. But i will certainly making plans to go back next year to the 5 days off festival and hopefully back to sensation again.

Looked like quite a spectacular event. One of the Dutch TV stations provided many hours of live coverage.
