Just an old hippie
ACD Introduction: StonedSince'67
After being a reader of the ACD Forum since September 2006, I have now decided to become a writer as well.
Who am I? I guess I am just an old hippie. Born in the usa and a teen through the 60s, I now find myself keen to visit Amsterdam as much as I can manage.
The world of marijuana that I know well is the world of traditional landrace varieties. When I started to smoke in 1967 the sativa varieties came from Mexico or Jamaica or Columbia or Thailand (i.e. "grass") and the indica varieties came from Lebanon (O Red Leb, where are you?) or Morocco or Pakistan or Nepal (i.e. "hashish"). I am an almost complete beginner when it comes to the brand new world of hybrids. It is my desire to learn about this new world that has brought me to this forum. The feedback of the members has been invaluable and I thank you all for your reports.
Many and grateful thanks are due to:
Lemming for the site and Forum.
Slimline for the unseen support of the server for the Forum.
Everyone for all the information and the support you give each other.

yes ... agreed ... and I thought someone would pull me up on the absence of the Dead from my list.smokestaxlitenin wrote:what, no Grateful Dead "American Beauty"..an all time classic......
but ... before American Beauty my favorite is their first album The Grateful Dead from 1967 and my favorite song from that album (and one of my all-time favorite songs ever) is "Morning Dew".
I think that I must have heard that song as I began smoking for the first time and it was being played at the time and ...
I recently bought Live/Dead and From The Mars Hotel, also have American Beauty and Workingman's Dead, so the collection is growing.
Do you have any suggestions please for my next purchase?

thanks ... listening to Joni as we speak.
I have made two mp3 cds of all the main released albums and can listen to her for hours without having to change disks, it's like she is sitting in the room telling/singing me the story of her life.
It's great she is recording again and I often go to sleep listening to "Shine".

Hiya old hippie, good to have you onboard friend.
Your solo visit in 2009 i may be up for that myself if you have some dates, i haven't been on my own for almost 7/8years now and a trip with out the wife would be just what the doctor ordered.
Let us know if you fancy a meet or a travel buddy.
Good Times/High Times.

lawn tennis is a derivative of an older form of tennis with various names depending where you are in the world, it's "real tennis" in the UK and great funCHELSEA_SMOKERS_SOCIETY wrote:btw, i thought lawn tennis was real tennis?
