Tobacco replacement - smoking mix
Using the smoking mix provided in coffeeshops was wierd at first, but when i tried a joint with cigarette later that day, i noticed a massive difference. and since ive been back, joints taste distinctly not nice. cigarette is bad. (im not a cigarette smoker, never have been)
just got a bag of smoking mix in the uk (from the head shop stall in a market up the road) for the first time. it cost £3, and will do the equivalent of 40-50 fags.
start of a new era i think.

Re: Tobacco replacement - smoking mix
I have ALWAYS thought the non tobacco smokers among us would feel like this!. If you dont in general smoke ciggs then you will never have an issue using the non tobacco mixers in my opinion!. It's possably more a case of if you have never or hardly tried it then you are bound to say no at first untill you can really compare it and get used to it as a non tobacco smoker.CHELSEA_SMOKERS_SOCIETY wrote:Using the smoking mix provided in coffeeshops was wierd at first, but when i tried a joint with cigarette later that day, i noticed a massive difference. and since ive been back, joints taste distinctly not nice. cigarette is bad. As if the ciggs do sod all for you or dont like them then you will never miss the hit from them at all. More so if you do like to have a mixer in your joint and or do like your hash?.
Just my thoughts anyways lol.

thats what im saying.NirvanaEJ wrote: im sorry, so ur saying that this mix tastes better than tobacco and is much cheaper?
of course im not a smoker. which probably has somethig to do with it.
however after 11 years of being a toker (and next to never smoking pure spliffs), this revelation is quite a big one for me.
imo, the smoke from tobacco is distinctly harsher on the throat. i was coughing up, on a fag joint when i got back to the uk, despite using smoking mix for only one weekend.
of course not everywhere i go, eg: parties other peoples houses, will there be smoking mix, so when necessary ill use tobacco, but when im at home, ive made the concious decision to use this mix stuff.
Bought a pack of dutch spirit mix when i went to the dam last week. (http://www.dutchspirit.info) Ended up using it everywhere i went, even back at the apartment we hired. I did have a tobacco joint once and it felt sickening after smoking the mix, im having a look for some of it back here but not having much luck. I think im finished with mixing tobacco with my weed now. I also found it much easier on the throat and a more pleasant smoke after the first joint or so.

theres tons of various types. they give the different types stupid names like super skunk etc. in an attempt to con stupid people into thinking itll get you stoned on its own.NirvanaEJ wrote:Chelsea do you know if the mix you used is the same as the one linked to by ynwa? or are there many different tobacco subs and u end up with whatever the c/s offers?
i cant vouch for what yoouulllneeeeeeeeeeeevawalkalooooone (ynwa) has, but this is the stuff i got
http://amsterdamhighsco.co.uk/acatalog/ ... LENDS.html
scroll all way down the page, to 'amsterdam gold', thats the stuff ive got.
(annnoyingly) they have actually stuck all over the packaging 'intoxicating smoking mixture', when it is quite clearly not. its just tea leaves or something similar.
it does have a flavour, but in its defence, so does cigarette. its just a more herbal flavour.
I was expecting this smoking mix to be one of these products
Tried using this stuff about 7 years ago when living in Plymouth (ENGLAND).
NEVER AGAIN! its proper dirty shit that just spoils the bud with its weird taste. And i dont use alot but could still tell it was there.
In fact i was just looking in a box and i still have a bag and a nearly full one left!
Gutted this is what they are using in some CS
looks like i will be doing alot more sight seeing than visiting the CS in future.
Cheers for letting us know Chelsea
