Travelling to Amsterdam in 6 days....any advice on ID?

hey, im off to amsterdam with two friends in a week, I'll be 18 in september, however not when i go there so im worried about being not able to get into clubs or coffeeshops or places like that...can anyone tell me..are all places and coffee shops strict on ID and under 18s?

oh and any travel advice and tips in general would be great!! i havnt been to amsterdam since i was younger so im very excited but nervous too! xx

If you look very old for you age you will be okay. I am 32 and always get asked for I.D and i have a full on beard and grey hair
As for clubs you will need to find a local youth club m8 as you dont stand a chance in fact i think it might be over 21s but not 100% sure.
You will probably have to get a m8 to get your gear and go sightseeing whilst getting wrecked

jesus christ what ever you do make sure they dont close a coffeeshop because of you.
just, dont smoke in holland till u r 18, or get some1 older to come with you and buy in a shop, go smoke in your room.
life for coffeeshop owners is hard enough as it is, coffeeshops losing lisences and closing.
im sorry if i sound too aggresive, but it would be a shame to us all if one of our favorite would close down becaouse of a stupid mistake, both of the budtender and the underage buyer.
think that when you will want to come back to Adam and you will be 18 that shop that was closed will be gone forever.

rokerij asked if my girlfriend was over 18 upon entering and i gladly replied that she is 29. they said it was cool and we did our thing. i think that was the only place they ever asked for id or mentioned our age.
