There be shavin's in me grinder

Post by Viking Weed »

I recently purchased a nice big all-metal grinder for about 30 Euro Bucks. This particular grinding device contains a screen and a tray for the oh so delicious trichomes.

However, while it grinds my weed in a delightfully awesome way, I am worried by the fact that I have found some small metal shavings in the trich-tray a couple of times. At first I assumed it was due to the grinder not being cleaned after production, so I cleaned the tray and went about my business. A couple of days later, I decided to check the tray again, and lo and behold, I find another small metal shaving.

Now, these metal shavings are too big to have passed through the screen, so I am thinking that they are being scraped off as I unscrew the tray from the bottom of the grinder.

My question is: Is there any way I can prevent this or do metal grinders just suck? Do I have scurvey? Is an all meat diet really not sufficient to sustain a man?

I'm reading three questions here:

1) Oddly enough, I've been curious about these metal grinders as I have one myself. I have not noticed any shavings though, but Aluminum in toothpaste and deodorant are supposed to be bad fer ya. I've read it's linked to Alzheimers (old timers) disease. Is plastic better for ya. Shit I don't know. I ain't gonna loose sleep over it.

2) If you're a pirate, your chances of scurvy are pretty high. Just one of the downsides of my profession, pirate that is.

3) An all meat diet is the best diet for ya. Sometimes it's ok to add cheese or a small amount of veggies. Please see Axeman's post on where to find a suitable meat sandwich. Plants are meant for smoking, not eating in large quantities. The good lord made animals for us to eat and keep as pets. Or both if you eat at the Mongolian BBQ.

I may be missing the overarching point of this thread, but I love Mongolian BBQ.

I think the overarching point of this thread is that I was pretty high last night...

Thanks for the comment. The ground up weed itself seems to be free from any metal, so I'm not losing much sleep over it either :) Oh, and thanks for the tips on the meat, though I think I will be holding off on the consumption of canines - for now at least

And remember, bacon is the only kind of spice you really need...
